if the super league had gone through would they have left the leagues they are in now or just play a lot more games? no it would be in parallel with uefa/fifa competitions, not separate! but how they would find all those midweeks slots to play in is another baffling thing ... like i've said glorified friendly tournament

an absolute howler from arsenal goalkeeper leno, pretty much kills off any slim chance of eurpoean football next season, as everton win by that own goal to not any own goals! yeah but is it worse than getafes sofian chakla one?

So is Juventus in or out?
We know Real Madrid & FC Barcelona are gonna ride this until the bitter end.

Leeds hold Man U to 0-0 in a match where neither team looked better than the other, after losing 6-2 in December.
Also, Man City win the League Cup 1-0 in a really meh looking game

Man City win their 4th league cup in a row. Should have been more than 1 nil as Spurs offered pretty much nothing. Think Kane was rushed back he didn’t look fit.
Another season and no trophy for Spurs. Year ends in 1 my butt.

scottish cup quarter finals
NO CELTIC ... beaten By rangers in the last round!
NO RANGERS ... as they got knocked out by st johnstone, 0-0 after 90 nimutes, rangers scored in extra time and the time running out ... then right at the end the st johnstone goalie zander clark got a free header from a corner, and chris kane touched it on into the net!
two saves for st johnstone in penalties was enough for the shock of the tournament, winning 4-2!
dundee united join them in the semi finals after a 3-0 victory over aberdeen
the first quarter final played on friday saw hibernian beat motherwell, also on penalties, but should have won it earlier as the steelmen came back from 2 down and put the game into extra time, but the edinburgh side won on penalties also 4-2
tomorrow it's kilmarnock v MY TEAM st mirren!

Spurs made it clear they didn't give a shit about the League Cup when they sacked a two time Champions League winning manager a week before the final in favour of Ryan Mason.

Might as well get the wooden spoon ready for FC Cincinnati in the MLS after that 5-0 drubbing by NYC.

both CHELSEA and MANCHESTER CITY scored away goals in their champions league semi final first legs it was 1-1 against real madrid for the blues and a 1-2 win against PSG for the other blues so we are one step away from having all FOUR euro finalists being english! great

Man City were very good in the 2nd half tonight. PSG just didn’t have an answer and Mbappe & Neymar barely got a kick.

Lineker described it as one of the best away performances by an English club in European history...
A poor first half and they only got going when they managed to get a really lucky goal that was not meant and then a free which 9 times out of 10 we would be calling poor for being hit straight at the wall.
PSG collapsed and were giving away silly fouls and then got a deserved red card.
City were much better in the 2nd half, passed much quicker and looked more dangerous but some of that was down to the fact PSG couldn't sit back like they did early on and left more room as they badly needed a goal at that stage.
I'm a massive fan of Pep and I wanted City to win today so I'm not some hater but I have seen them perform much better and as big and important a victory as this is for City I can't understand some of the hyperbole coming from some areas this evening.

Yeah in the first half they were pretty pants and if they play like that for the whole of the 2nd leg they are going to go out. I just hope they don’t sit on the lead they’ve got and not try and be adventurous at all. But it’s City so I’m sure they will.
