They traded too many people in groups of like who they're feuding with, Seth/Rey feud part infinity won't feel any fresher now that it's blue and the Braun/Alexa/Fiend/Nikki stuff won't be that different in red.

My money is on Erik becoming Rock over and parlaying that into becoming the biggest box office attraction in cinema history.

It's an amazing new degree of laziness; we're not even getting fresh new stars for people, they're just doing the thing they've been doing but on another night of the week, because the show has to be as easy to write for the old man as it possibly can be.

So the entire SmackDown tag division is the champs, two teams made up of singles wrestlers that are both coming off of title match losses, and a father/son team where the father can't wrestle right now.

I feel like since 2009's guest host stuff most of the scripts for their shows have steadily been more and more like copy paste blocks they can use week by week like "Paul Heyman Brock Promo," or "Seth talks about Rey's family," "Fiend shows up," etc. where they can change as little as possible by CTRL + F'ing it.

It's part of why anything that can take place in the ring takes place in the ring, and anything else is almost always in the arena itself. The old on-location segments that used to make for a real good time are now exceeding rarities, because it takes effort, planning, and forethought on the production end to film that end, and requires the story be written before the show actually starts. I think a lot of the ways WWE's process has become oversimplified and streamlined have everything to do with both Vince's energy levels and his increasing demand for rewrites. Now it's at a point where even doing the draft, they didn't plan out who was moving shows in time to work on wrapping up stories, so now instead of anyone getting a fresh start or being pulled away from one another, they're continuing their drawn-out fights on new nights. It's all to make the show as simple to write as possible, or to cover up for how that approach causes inconveniences.

So does that left Andrade and Mickie James as the only ones undrafted? I think so. James will land on a brand once her broken nose heals up. Andrade, though... To think Andrade was, at one point, considered "can't miss" by WWE. Boy, they made sure he was a miss.

In fairness, I think he did a lot of it himself rather than it all being the company’s fault. He’s a great wrestler at his best, but he’s been going through the motions for a long time, and Angel Garza outshone him as a character.

See, I always dislike logic like this because you know what would be a way to solve that? Going up to the guy and figuring out a new direction for him and a character he can do. They can really easily do that but they don’t because why make someone interesting or help them get out of a rut to make you money when you could just have them stick around and make people think you’re lazy?
