Leafs take the 2-1 series lead with a 2-1 win thanks to timely goals from Nylander & Rielly, plus Jack Campbell standing on his head. Back at it in Montreal tomorrow night.

Yet another game going to OT. Leafs take the 2-1 series lead with a 2-1 win thanks to timely goals from Nylander & Rielly, plus Jack Campbell standing on his head. Back at it in Montreal tomorrow night. I think I’m falling in love with Jack Campbell He's amazing, simply put. I've always liked the guy and I was glad when the Leafs got him from LA. But man, has he ever stepped up in a big way for us. So much that he ended up taking over the starting position from Andersen, whose performance have declined to the point where he's not even a starting calibre goalie anymore.

Freddie definitely picked a terrible year to struggle. Jack has been pure fire for us this season, he’s absolutely earned his shot right now. TO is definitely gonna chase a goalie in the off season, but Campbell will be between the pipes to open next season I’m fairly confident.

We'll have to find someone in the offseason with him departing. With how Driedger has been for Florida this season, I wouldn't mind going after someone like him tbh. I like the idea of running with a Campbell/Driedger tandem next season.
Also, these Tim's commercials....ugh. Lmao at them promoting Shea Weber as Montreal's best player when he's not even the best defenseman on his team, let alone player.

I also like the idea of Campbell/Driedger running a 50/30 split next year. Driedger is very attainable in my opinion, definitely worth going after. Probably worth doing some tire kicking on the Columbus goalie situation too

Oh my, look at the look of disbelief on McDavid's face. To say he's pissed would be an understatement.

Also, I gotta say, that may have been a 4-0 sweep but that’s very misleading. That was actually an insanely close, incredibly entertaining series.
And as a Toronto fan I was really hoping for Edmonton in the second round. Winnipeg matches up better against the Leafs whereas the Oilers are a similar make up to TML just a slight step behind.

3 of those games went to OT no less. What really stings for Edmonton though, is them blowing a 4-1 lead in game 3.

Panthers keep it alive but I doubt they'll come back.

Galchenyuk to Nylander. Man, I'd love to keep Galchenyuk for another season. He's looked better since being put on a line with players better suited for his skill set.

One thing to Montreal. If you are to get anything done on the PP, you gotta stop depending on the Weber slapper. It's way too predictable.

And Jumbo makes it 3-0. Spezza and Thornton both have goals tonight!! 4-0 was the final, ultimately. And of course, Galchenyuk sealed it with the empty net tally. 3-1 series lead with a chance to clinch it on Thursday.
