They just keep winning! I don’t know if they can keep it up, but this is fun and unexpected.

Kevin Pillar spoke to the media with his destroyed face and said he’s more worried about the pitcher who beaned him losing confidence in his abilities because of the injury he caused over his own injuries.
Just wow. What an incredible person. Loved Pillar when he was a Giant and still do now. Respect.

Unless there’s something I missed from last nights loss then I’m going to assume it’s over him giving Yermin shit about swinging against a position player on a 3-0 count during a blowout. I have no problem with him protecting the kid from himself since he seems to come off a bit cocky. I also don’t have that big of problem with him hitting a homer...I feel the same way about the score being run up in football. You can’t stop em it’s your problem. Tony just knows how baseball is...and if Yermin repeatedly does stuff like that he’s gonna get plunked in the ribs eventually.

He also said that he doesn't have a problem with how the Twins handled it. He had no problem with the Twins throwing at one of his players. The f***er's all up in arms about the unwritten rules, but can't even follow written laws when it comes to operating a vehicle while drunk.

Old school baseball managers would legit rather have both teams fight than a pitcher get their feelie wheelies hurt, and they've proven that several times. Wonder why that doesn't connect with a younger audience...

How can a team play for a dickhead who’s cool with his own players getting thrown at? I hope they go all mutiny on his old ass.

The White Sox have adopted a mantra: "WWJD?"
Except the J in this case is Jose, as in Abreu. He's the true leader on this team. If Jose understands what's going on, then he can relay it to the rest of the guys.

Sorry, but I agree with many of the unwritten rules. There’s a line of respect that needs to be followed.

That's dumb tho especially when the game is evolving
Don't throw a cookie 3-0, it is really simply. My averages are still on the line just like yours. Now, if I hit a homerun and pimp it for all its worth, you can feel some justification in being mad but some of those unwritten rules in MLB need to go

Hiring La Russa was such a bad idea. Just as bad as Pelicans hiring Stan Van Gundy but at least Zion became a star this year under his watch

so LaRussa knows all the unwritten rules, but has zero clue on the actual written rules of Baseball still?? like him having his pitcher be the one on 2nd in extras, or even going back to his Cardinal days it was Cubs vs Cardinals, and Lou Pinella had Shawn Marshall pitching, up came another hitter and Pinella did a double switch, calling in a pen arm, and putting Marshall in left field, once the pitcher got the Cardinal player out, Pinella came out to do another double switch, put Marshall back pitching and put another player in left to finish the inning and LaRussa lost his damn mind and held the game up for a good 20 minutes arguing about this and Pinella is sitting in the cubs dugout laughing yelling "HEY! I ACTUALLY KNOW THE RULES TONY!!!"
plus ya know...LaRussa also doesnt know the rules of the road considering his recent DUI, perhaps hes just trying to start a nice collection with Mark Grace to keep the North Side vs South Side rivalry going an extra step.
I say if ya fire him, do it right, have Hawk Harrelson be the one to fire him again.

Lance Lynn came up as a rookie under LaRussa and won a World Series. It speaks volumes that Lynn would publicly disagree with him, and much moreso that LaRussa would publicly talk down to Lynn over that.
Apparently to Tony, respect means being a good sport to the other team and not so much avoiding being an ass in the press to your own players. Respect means going to bat for your players by telling the other team to hit your guys. Maybe respect also means not flushing after you deuce in the locker room toilet as well.

Man, La Russa would rather use a shotgun to take out a fly if it landed on his leg.

Hiring La Russa was such a bad idea. My brother texted me when he was hired. I tossed a SpongeBob gif back: WHY?!?!
