Been playing this off and on and am reaching the end of ME1. Comparing it to how it used to play I'm a fan of all the changes made. Although I did fire up the 360 version to compare the Mako bits - apart from the speed boost it's exactly the same. I never had a problem with it before (I'm playing on the Series X). Maybe the higher, more consistent framerate (the 360 version dropped frames all the time) makes the whole driving thing better.
Looking forward to 2 and 3 (only ever played on the PC and I noped out of 3 before Leviathan or the Citadel due to being quite ticked off over the ending), glad I decided to get this.

If anyone was looking to pick up the PC version, it's $10 off on Steam right now.

I’m going to be in the Armax for some time trying to buy and upgrade most of the N7 guns.

Still on Mass Effect 2 here, now have every side mission completed up to the Reaper IFF point, aside from Overlord and Arrival. Really enjoyed some of the less standard N7 sidequests, like the Jarrahe Station and MSV Estavanico which don't feature a single conventional enemy. They're both clever and inventive, and let the atmosphere do a lot of the work.
On the flipside, god I forgot quite how bad Firewalker was. I remember disliking it intensely, but goddamn. The engine temperatures. The annoying juddering around when doing the repetitive data points. The way you explode if you even go near a single Geth Trooper. And just the utter lack of consequences or anything of interest. How this made it into the finished game is astonishing. If it was still a DLC I wouldn't bother installing it.

With all the improvements they made with the Mako, it's sad they didn't at least give the Hammerhead the same attention between the lack of armor and the weird movement during data point collection.
If Firewalker wasn't free, I'd probably consider it to be on par with Pinnacle Station as the worst DLC in the series. But it was free and there's some mildly interesting story, so it's a smidge better.

Wanted to throw my controller across the room this evening. Cleared the first two bunkers on the Moon in the Rogue VI mission, forgot to save before the third bunker and took a rocket to the face, meaning I had to clear the first two bunkers again.
Whaddaya know? I did the exact same f***ing thing a second and a third time before I said "Hold up, doofus, before you go in that bunker save a goddamn game."
Of course, once I saved I didn't take a single hit in the third bunker.

Those bunkers may be the most frustrating part of the entire series

I started again as an Adept this time... it does make a considerable difference as Shep no longer has the electronics and decryption stats as they did last time... >_> Was going to try a renegade run through but... I just can't bring myself too go full renegade... not becuase it makes Shep an asshole... it seems to make them a STUPID asshole.

Been chipping away at the DLC before I advance any further into ME3 and I forgot how great the DLC in this game is. Like, I remember it being good, but not this good.

Those bunkers may be the most frustrating part of the entire series I wouldn't mind so much if they literally weren't all based on the same two layouts. If the only difference between them is the amount of cover inside and the types of enemies you fight it gets damn repetitive.

I haven’t played the games since 2016 but I still remember the layouts of those two bunkers and that one mine on the random explorable planets in ME1 like it was yesterday

Those bunkers may be the most frustrating part of the entire series "ENEMIES EVERYWHERE!" "I WILL DESTROY YOU!"
On a related note, I found a new pet peeve is when people call the mission "Rogue Six" because they think "VI" is a roman numeral and not an abbreviation for "Virtual Intelligence." >_>

I didn’t even think of that and thought Rogue Six was something I was unaware of
