JBL switching from long tights to wedgie trunks was an ugly, ugly scene. Eddie Guerrero having some bleached hair around 2004 seemed trendy and very un-Latino. As a Hispanic guy who lived in the mid 2000s. Bleaching your hair was EVERYWHERE in the community at that time.

Nobody thinks a thing about it now, but The Miz wearing trunks took a bit for me to process.

Nobody thinks a thing about it now, but The Miz wearing trunks took a bit for me to process. At first for sure but it was for the better IMO. A look change that took me a while to get used too. When anybody long hair for a long time all of sudden goes short. Jericho, Test, Christian and so forth. However what I will say some times it works and other times not so much. Long hair was better for guys like Foley and Test. Foley looks so weird IMO when he shaves his head. Christian made it work. Jericho did but looks good both ways.

Christian's makeover in 2003 worked wonders for him.

Hangman's current tights look weird. Still getting used to them.
That's all I got since the others I thought of were already mentioned.

How about Okada’s pants phase? That took a minute to adjust to.

Triple H and his short stint with purple, red, and blue trunks. And those biker shorts although that was for a groin injury.

Christian's makeover in 2003 worked wonders for him. He had that awful singlet right before he cut his hair, so he actually got worse before he got better.

Yup. His body type never worked for trunks. He’s kind of short and stubby. You either have to be lean/lanky, jacked, or fat for trunks to work. Just can’t be middle-of-the-road (as far as wrestlers go) I wouldn't say he never looked right That early period when he was in really good shape, he looked good and lean. Once he started putting on weight and more so resembling the Jericho we see now, it started to fall apart He hasn’t looked right since he cut his hair into that bob cut in like 2004. His slow transformation into Vince Neil would be fine if it was all character work but he wants to look like that and is proud.

Lance Storm switching from long to short tights in 2002. I think I remember him mentioning on one of his website commentaries that he received a lot of Ken Shamrock jokes after the switch.

Perfect going from the standard trunks to the neon singlets. I don’t know if WMV was the debut appearance of the look, but it was the first time I saw it. The look was such a contrast to what he’d had before and stood out from the rest of the roster. More than that, though, it was such an awesome look that supplemented the belief of someone calling themselves ‘perfect’. I think it was the debut of the attire on TV at least from what Jesse and Gorilla were commenting. I guess there could have been shows taped prior that aired later but with so many matches taped maybe they didn't notice. I think it definitely helped the character. A plain trunked Mr. Perfect would have been silly as he started getting really into the gimmick.
