Is there literally anything to do on Staten Island except ride the ferry for the experience? Also, best food place that isn't touristy, go. Roll N Roaster in Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn is f***ing amazing. Their roast beef sandwiches are the best I've ever had in my life. Great fries, too. Now I know the only reason you are saying that Roll N Roaster makes the best Roast Beef Sandwich you've ever had, especially in Brooklyn, is because you've never actually been to John's Deli in Gravesend. That's the only logical explanation.

New Yorkers and Northeasterners in general move at a different speed than other parts of the country. People think we're rude but it's more like we've got shit to do. There's also a certain blunt honesty to it versus putting up the veneer of passive-aggressive politeness of some other parts of the country.
It shows in driving. Like, NYC drivers aren't all bad, but you need a certain kind of aggressiveness to drive there. There's so many cars there that it's necessary to be kind of a dick driving at times or else you won't be able to get anywhere.

As my knowledge of New York City largely comes from the Law and Order franchise, how many murder victims have you stumbled across by happenstance and did you happen to hear the snappy quip uttered by the detectives on scene?

Do New Yorkers really hate New Jersey? We don't hate New Jersey people, we hate traitors. Don't move to New Jersey to live some kind of outdated 1970's middle class suburban dream because you think you're supposed to the second you make a decent salary the first time in your life and still think you can claim to be a New Yorker. Those are the people we hate.

I've seen guys get their ass whooped by cops by and them saying snappy quips, does that count

As a fellow New Yorker who spent time living in each of the four boroughs (I don't recognize Staten Island as part of NYC... playfully) list your favorite boroughs from best to worst.
Avoid like the plague more, Far Rockaway or Coney Island?
What borough represents boasts the best rappers? If it's not Queens, we're going to have an issue.

Also are there any surviving markers of either Dutch or British rule? One of my favorite things in Boston are old buildings that have British insignia on them.

The outside is covered with a mural that a different artist paints every three months, the beer selection is one of the finest in all five boroughs and the menu may look like a random hodgepodge, but somehow everything is great. You could get a quesadilla for starters, then ribs with a side of pierogis and all will be absolutely excellent. Staten Island is also home to the absolute best Sri Lankan food I've ever, *ever* had in my life. An absolute must. Staten Island pizza is also different from the pizza in the rest of New York. Typically wood oven-well cone crust cut in squares.

Do New Yorkers really hate New Jersey? We just playfully say that to distract tourists from our very real deep-seeded hatred toward people from most parts of Long Island.
