Is there literally anything to do on Staten Island except ride the ferry for the experience?
Also, best food place that isn't touristy, go.

Do the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live near the River of Slime? No, the River of Slime (or the part we saw) ran under 1st Avenue and 77th Street in the Upper East Side. The TMNT traditionally live in Hell's Kitchen (west of 8th Avenue between 34th and 59th Streets) on the West Side. That's about a one hour walk, or 17 hours if driving.

Alright, serious question: given the soaring cost of living and the changing face of New York and other world cities in the 21st century, do you ever feel alienated, or consider leaving?
It's something that troubles me about where I've always lived, and I'm curious to know how it makes you feel.

Staten Island is good for food and the ferry and you get tired of both Can vouch. There's really nothing to do here. We got some okay parks but that's about it. Alright, serious question: given the soaring cost of living and the changing face of New York and other world cities in the 21st century, do you ever feel alienated, or consider leaving? It's something that troubles me about where I've always lived, and I'm curious to know how it makes you feel. I've been living in Staten Island for almost 3 years and we want to move in the near future. We could move closer to my dad and my family in Pennsylvania and pay just as much for a decent 3-bed house as we do here for an apartment the size of a damn guest house.

It's something that troubles me about where I've always lived, and I'm curious to know how it makes you feel. I wouldn't say alienated but I would consider leaving but I am comfortable here. If anything i'd move upstate and out the city but still will travel and work in the city New York changes in your face but almost stays the same if that makes sense. NY is not the same as when I was a kid nor and nowhere near the same when my parents were either. I have lived in another place besides NY and I know what it is like to get the different experience. If anything, more people are coming here just because they are "classing" up the city. BK got a total makeover. Manhattanas well. They are trying to do the same to the BX

How did you choose your various sports team fandoms? Knicks because they always been the hometown team before Nets came to Brooklyn Yankees cause I lived in the BX and always preferred them over the Mets Jets.....idk. Just always gravitated them over Big Blue

Honestly, I live in the BX but I did everything in Harlem including going to school down there. Didn't really chill in the BX until I got older In terms of restaurants and all that stuff, some good ones are around. Locally, there is a good Jamaican food spot up the block from Yankee stadium, the park around me is big. It stretches from a long regular park and also has a skate park. Holiday events are always good, I plan on going to this Winter one before Xmas Before COVID there was always a ton of events in the BX, always a concert or something to go to

Is there any misconceptions or stereotypes of New York from outsiders or people that never been there that just grinds your gears?
