With Sting this week was a wash no matter what they did. I imagine for New Year's Evil they'll bounce back. .... God that name is dumb.

No advertising like usual during Raw.
And anything they announced was on the day of like 4hrs before the show went on the air.
And they still hover around their average...hell I think the demo increased which considering the above things is some bit impressive.

Still not sure if the logo makes it better or worse: Ignoring the logo being ugly af. I think saying 2021 as the "evil" new year when 2020 is literally a walking disaster is quite the decision.

Interesting how the female demo is down when a women's match is in the main event (unless Io is in it)

Interesting how the female demo is down when a women's match is in the main event (unless Io is in it) It's probably because Sasha and Bayley (two of the biggest draws among the women, along with being the most popular among young women) constantly put Io over in interviews as a huge star in the making, whenever they get the chance. Sasha recently did an interview with FOX where she gushed about how Io is the greatest in the world, and wants her on Smackdown.

Interesting how the female demo is down when a women's match is in the main event (unless Io is in it) Ember has potential but they've done very little since her return to make her must see. She just hasn't been booked well.

This week was def going to be a wash but they typically hold steady With no advertisement and next to nothing announced this week they were basically banking on the fallout show drawing the usual crowd and it did. At this point it's gonna be the matter of upticking the number outside of old name specials. We'll see how New Years Evil does as someone already said here

It's supposed to be a play on New Year's Eve, but that opens up another issue which is, "why not call the December 30th show New Year's Evil, the show that's one day away from actual New Year's Eve?"

Lio Rush tops ratings on MTV The Challenge,Aew gets silver WWE finishes in 37th behind Investigation Discoveries the crimes that changed us. Maybe Zelina Vega shows up next week on Property Brothers to keep them ahead of WWE

Shame. Again, I felt it was the better show.
However, still again, AEW isn't going to lose to NXT. It has momentum, it has some freshness and it has some rabid fans that are really pimping it hard everywhere. NXT does have the freshness, but it's momentum is stalled by still being seen as the recruitment brand and it doesnt have the same level of fandom. Plus the vein of WWE hate that exists now hits all WWE shows, even the good ones.
NXT is just there to stop AEW getting too big while trying to make AEW look small time by being against the C show, and while it's working for now, I doubt it will work forever and that's a real disservice to the NXT cast.

The problem frankly boils down to advertising. WWE almost never plugs NXT on RAW or SD. Because god forbid we don't have our sixth recap of an event that happened an hour ago. Also in the case of NXT, you could see it after Takeover but there were quite a few bad faith arguments against it online. Just look at WOR for a good example of it. Their entire schtick now is NXT bad, AEW good.

Oh well, cant do anything about anti-WWE sentiment. I'll just stick with watching both, liking what I like on each. I dont need a favourite, or want the hassle of disputes with those that do.

NXT should be a majority women's wrestling based show judging by the ratings.
