I mean it's a very subjective viewpoint. Dynamite's already got a second show that is currently gonna be an hour on TV coming in the future. I'm very down for that, and if they split DARK into a more enhancement day and "closer matches" day I'm also cool with that

AEW maximizing their online bingeable content is only gonna help them especially since they get consistent viewership which they have been for the likes of DARK. If it helps more wrestlers get over and more exposure and signings, I'm all for it.

The crossover is a special thing right now, which is also why I think some don't mind, especially if they've already been keeping tabs on the companies Kenny goes to.

Overall, it's all really as I sad subjective on what you wanna pay attention to, and for some people, they would willingly watch much more AEW if provided, I know I'd be one of them Haven't given me a reason to not care yet, only many reasons to want to see em expand, so good on them for that.

I personally think the ideal lineup for AEW is Dynamite, one hour secondary show where some important stuff happens, and DARK which by that point would be a WCW Pro style show to build up up and comers. There is always the worry when you work with other promotions that it be too much but I think they've found a good balance so far where watching those shows adds to your enjoyment of the main product but still isn't necessary. Look at the Impact show last week. I think seeing what Kenny did there adds to the story and makes you more invested as a viewer. However, they got the jist out on Dynamite and you really didn't miss anything essential. It will become more challenging in future weeks but I am open to see where it goes.

To be fair, if you’re going to have women who wrestle in your company, a women’s division isn’t that hard to ask for.

This isn’t stealing the Hard 10 concept from 2002 TNA and putting it on Dynamite.

I swear this strawman is more prominent on this forum than anywhere else I have ever been on the internet. (Not that it's not a thing elsewhere, it's just rampant here.)

Maybe it's a sign that things are civil enough here that nobody dunks on individual posters or otherwise draws attention to them unless their behavior is egregious, but there's definitely a lack of recognition that each post is made by an individual with distinctive opinions.

Most of the complaining was about Dark being two and a quarter hours rather than two easier to manage shows that drop on different days. I enjoy dark, but it can be a bit of a slog.

Not sure why actually booking the women to do things is seen as an additional time thing when they haven't been used, the Elite's entrances have felt like they've gotten more TV time than any of the Women's champions and Shida v Abadon genuinely feels like the first time she has had an actual feud while champion. People want the TV and Youtube time they have to be used better, and to give some credit, they are actually trying.

I would think Khan considering splitting DARK into an enhancement/tryout show and a show focused on more development of current talent and closer matches is an indication that they were listening to the key complaint listed by OP that DARK is too long for some people.

Here's the thing about the wwe. While objectively, yes they have too much content, I don't think we would see that as so bad if the content was at least watchable. I remember realizing I was literally falling asleep watching Raw and asked myself why I was bothering anymore. Not because it was too long, but because it always felt like they were spinning their wheels every week.

I could care less if Dark is too long since it's a YouTube show and I can just skip through later. Dynamite has issues with pacing in terms of the women's division, but I still am glued to the product from 7-9 CST. Quality is what matters
If I had another 2 hours of Dynamite level quality every week, I'd have no issues watching it.

Yeah AEW is basically perfect time investment wise. Weekly show of a reasonable length, four ppvs and a YouTube show I can choose to ignore or watch and be happy either way.
As a result things don't tend to be run into the ground too quickly, retain a feeling of importantance and the average quality of dynamite remains high.

I don't want more than that, already worried about the new show watering things down. Don't want it feeling like a chore to keep up with things.

If I've learned one thing through AEW's existence, it's that as soon as a problem is addressed, some people complaining then pivot in the opposite direction. Getting better isn't always in some people's interests.

I think there's also the sense that WWE overcompensates for their glut of content, to the detriment of the shows. It always feels like anything meaningful is put off until a hypothetical right moment that never seems to come (except at Wrestlemania), because if they just did the satisfying thing, how on Earth do they sell all of the other shows they're doing?

This is not actually a problem endemic to how much stuff WWE puts out, but WWE draws attention to how exhaustingly much they produce by making their fear of running out of story palpable.

There's also lots of different reasons people might criticize something that aren't even contradictory. For example, "Raw is too long" can mean that three hours is just too long for them to watch a weekly wrestling show, but it can also mean that Raw isn't written like a three hour show, it's a two hour show that they stretch and pad out to the detriment of the whole product and that person would be happy to watch a more meaningful three hour show. Some might be put off by the feeling that not enough happens week to week to justify that much time investment but also not know when something will be plot important, so the accessibility hurdle turns them off of it altogether. Hell, someone might think AEW needs to have just as much time as they have right now but not do the women so dirty. Some people think WWE has too much programming because their lives are busy and they don't have that many hours free to keep up with the product, and those people almost definitely aren't clamoring for more shows.

There's absolutely conversations to have about whether AEW should put out more programming or use their time better or any of a number of things. This "I'm gonna set up a strawman and do sick Mortal Kombat moves on it" ain't it.

If AEW made a second show that sparked my interest i would watch it.

Dark doesn’t do that for me. Two hours of squash matches and no stake matches other than for arbitrary “win / loss” records. Might as well watch Main Event.

I normal week I watch Raw, Impact, MLW, Dynamite, NXT, NXT UK, Smackdown and ROH.

All those shows interest me in different ways.

Then there’s like weekends like last week where I watched Final Resolution, Super J Cup, and Triplemania.

Raw is background noise some weeks, Wednesday I watch AEW on my big screen and NXT on my laptop.

Bring on the crossovers, open forbidden doors, as long the content is good I’ll watch it.
