Q1: Hardy Party vs Hangman and Beaver Boys: 1,010m 512K demo Q2: IC interview, Cody/Brandi Christmas vid, beginning of Cody vs Angelico: 826K, 412k Q3: Cody vs Angelico, post match with Team Taz and Sting, Miro interview, brawl between Kingston group and Death Triangle: 843K, 405k Q4: Dustin promo, IC vs Best Friends and friends: 835K, 413K Q5: Rest of tag match, Rosa/Britt backstage segment: 726k, 400k Q6: SCU vs Acclaimed 746K, 399K Q7: Sicarias vs Swole and Serena: 741k, 406K Q8: Omega vs Janela: 718k, 419k This is one of those weeks where they definitely need to learn they got more people watching than months prior. Here's hoping that they dont have a big drop off again in the coming weeks, cause that 718k is the lowest number they've seen in awhile, even though the demo was great.

It almost feels like they expected the show to have a drop off. Like they expected things to even out, so they didn't go as hard with this show as the previous weeks. Then the show opened up with a Million Viewers, THEN it dropped off to lower numbers.
It's definitely something they need to keep in mind for the future, they can't take viewership for granted. And to AEW's credit, they notmally don't, they have a lot of good matches on every Dynamite. But this one combined with very odd commercial placement right at the top of the second hour, flatlined them this week.
These are the growing pains a year old company can have with a quickly growing audience. But AEW are good at learning and adapting, I hope they do so.

It doesnt help they opened with the onlu match that had any value.
Kenny vs Janela was going to be a clear squash and the othera matches really had no heat behind it at all. Dark Cowboys vs Hardy Party had TWO stories behind it. popular ones too

I wouldve put the 12 men tag match before the Kingston promo, Pac return in Hour 2 couldve helped more imo

I feel like we have passed the point (as far as wrestling goes) where the number of people who watch live, on the specific night even matters anymore. Us kids that's pumped up the numbers in the mid-life 90s are now working, and it will never go back to that again.
I concede that it is interesting data, but as long as the network the show is aired on is happy (because when it wasnt, WCW died) then what difference does it make if they get 500k or 1M.
I always check these threads when they're posted but at this point I almost wonder if we're looking in the wrong direction.
