I figure they will probably stick with the planned Omega vs. Fenix match as the main, but the rest of the show might get retooled. This is uncharted territory for AEW, as this has never happened before. They can stand to back things up a week and give people time to properly grieve and show their respect Tho it may not be a popular take, I also wouldn't blame them if they kept it as regularly programmed. I assume they will get the temperature of the locker room to see what they are feeling and how to proceed There are only three announced matches for Smash Night 1, so at the very least they can play around things if they really truly need to.

I assume they will get the temperature of the locker room to see what they are feeling and how to proceed I would probably keep the title match, just because the rumor mill is that this show's advance is the highest since they started letting fans in again, and it's likely because of Omega vs. Fenix. So they may feel compelled to deliver that match. But again, this is the first time AEW has had to mourn an active roster member, so I don't envy them trying to figure out how to do this. Either way, they've got a few days to figure that out, and the time right now should be spent remembering Brodie and consoling both his family and each other as peers.

I have came on this forum daily since the Wrestlecrap days, I love the insight from you guys and never feel the need to post. Tonight is the exception, I feel I need to post how I feel. Today wrestling lost an angel. I am currently rewatching Brodies AEW Unrestricted podcast and crying my eyes out. With the industry we all love premature deaths unfortunately this seems like a regular occurrence but this is different. Not only did Jon have the most potential but he genuinely seems like a well loved and respected member of any locker room he was involved in, but more importantly a devoted family man. My heart breaks for his family, today we did not lose a wrestler, we lost an outstanding human being who never was able to reach his true potential. I lost a hero and an idol, not to sound macho but it takes a lot to bring a tear to my eye and right now I am bawling my eyes out. For as bad as I hurt I cannot imagine what his family is going through, I implore all of you to buy a piece of Brodies merchandise from a trust worthy source, not just to pay your respect for this icon but to help his family who may need financial support and must truly be going through hell. Today was an awful day, let us never forget what this great man did for the sport we love, but what also what we know he could of achieved. RIP Jon Huber, you were taken way before your time, thank you for your commitment, the memories and for personally being an idol to me. Being the exalted one was not a gimmick, it was his way of life. RIP Brodie, you were taken to soon but you will never be forgotten.

RIP to him. I'm truly sorry for his family and friends and fans. His documentary on the network, showed him to be a very nice person. I hope that he had peace, in his passing. I hope that his loved ones will be able to mourn peacefully.

I’m stunned. I mean... I’m 43 years old. How can someone two years younger than I am and with a family and career be gone? It’s... this isn’t even 2020, this is screaming that something is seriously wrong with a universe that thinks this is fair. Because it’s not.
I only knew him as Luke Harper, not watching AEW or WWE much because my heart is not in the business right now. But a huge big man talent and he has left an impact that is making everyone just rock back on their heels.
I try to be... profound, comforting and optimistic when someone of note passes and I have to write this... not tonight. Tonight, I want to stand out in the cold and howl at the heavens. Because... why? It’s not fair. It’s just not.

I still can't process this.
I don't think I've been this shocked since the Benoit tragedy.
It just doesn't feel real man. He had so much more left to give and to know he died from a lung condition is just heart breaking. 😢😢

That's just horrible. The way he just disappeared without anybody talking about his status felt like there was more going on than just taking time off for injuries, but I never expected this.
Best wishes to his family. RIP

I'm still not able to process this. It's like when Chadwick Boseman died earlier this year (f*** 2020). I saw it trending on Twitter and thought that it was a hoax, a misunderstanding. There's no way he could be dead. And on the day after Christmas too.
Like many have said he was a great talent. I'd wish WWE could have done more with him especially during Bray's fued with Orton. I was glad to see him get his chance in AEW.
Reading all the tributes from all his peers on Twitter and it shows how much he was loved and respected.
My heart goes out to all his friends, fans and especially his family.
Rest In Peace Big Man.
