In shock, haven’t felt a wave of sadness of a wrestler dying since Eddie. My heart goes out to his family. He was involved in one of my favorite ladder matches against Dolph Ziggler. RIP to a good man.

Like many here, I've lived through the passing of guys who were active like Pillman, Owen, Eddie and Benoit. And even those who've watched before I was born with The Von Erichs
This hurts just as much as them

My goodness this year can f*** off. What a tremendous loss for the industry from people I know, no one can say anything bad about him. He was well liked and loved. This is a tough day for the Huber family, a family now has an empty seat at the table and my hear breaks for his kids as well who are really young and will have trouble retaining memories of their dad.

Stuff like this is also why imo wrestlers should not be restricted to something if they want out... I remember when Brodie was forced to sit at home due to injury time, and run his contract out plus a 90 day no compete. He talked a lot about how brutal it was to just sit there and wait. All that time, almost a year of it... like now look at how important that time was in retrospect...
I'm not trying to be cynical about this either, cause obviously WWE didn't know, Brodie might not have even been sick at that time either. My point is time is precious, not just for a career, but for a life, and business wise idk if anything will ever change about it, but it's something to consider when guys are forced to "Eat catering" for so long...

I respect that i assume he chadwick Boseman'd his run til Cody came back, and kept it hush til the end. Felt his IC run shouldve been given alot more life too

I hope someone takes Tony Nese’s tweet and makes it a reality. Leva Bates and or Dani Jordyn is on it ... That's not even a joke, they literally might be on it.

Oh my god. I didn't process what I read when I saw the title. This is so sad, especially since he'd really started hitting a stride in AEW in the last year. This is so sad.

Now that I've let it sink in more and have collected my thoughts, I can finally say this. Brodie Lee has always been a favorite of mine. I think that he was one of the best big men to come along in the last 20 years, and definitely one of the best big men of all time. I'd seen a lot of his work from ROH, Dragon Gate, and Chikara. I enjoyed his work as a member of the Wyatt Family, obviously. The tag match against the Shield was one of the best matches of 2014. When WWE broke up the Wyatt Family in the fall of 2014, and Brodie got a singles push, I was ecstatic because he was my favorite member.
I liked him more than I liked Bray Wyatt (and I'm a huge fan of Wyatt's). I loved the fact that they had him win the Intercontinental title, but after that, he was just stuck as a tag team guy for the rest of his run. Despite the fact that the Bludgeon Brothers run was my favorite tag team run of his, it infuriated me that WWE wouldn't give him another singles run, because I knew he was a lot more than a tag team guy.
Brodie being revealed as the Exalted One and winning the TNT title were two of my favorite moments of this year. As a longtime fan of his, it was great to see him get to shine in AEW after being wasted for most of his run in WWE. The fact that this happened before he could really get to the meat of his AEW run makes this even worse. He was someone that I always enjoyed watching no matter what.

It felt like a match Brodie always wanted to have.

WWE not only tweeted a statement, but they are also retweeting everything their talent has said about Lee.

This is probably gonna be the first time we see two seperate companies put on tribute shows for a performer since Owen passed away.
Idk if RAW will do a full tribute show but I can definitely imagine a tribute package, maybe even a ten bell salute.

The "unintentional blessing" is he got to spend time with his kids which matters more then his career which is the only thing that matters That's time his kids will cherish forever and one i'm sure if Brodie knew his time was limited, he'd not change for anything
