Rip. He probably one of my favorite wrestlers since the days of the wyatt family. His TNT run help make the title feel as important as the AEW Title. I hope AEW does something as tribute to you. Like a mr lee memorial battle royal for a shot at the TNT title or something.

RIP Brodie Lee
I remember him always wanting to put on a good show for his sons so they could see how bad ass their dad was. I’m really glad now that he won the TNT title in the fashion he did. Can you imagine how cool it is to see your dad destroy a guy with his gang on tv looking like a bad ass unstoppable force, like he was in a movie or tv or something? I’m sure they knew how cool he was, but I hope they know how much he loved them too.

I really can't sleep. This just doesn't feel real. Probably the hardest death in wrestling for me in a long time. Hours later Im drinking vodka and feeling like I lost someone I know. How? This feels so real. So personal.

This feels so real. So personal. When you lose someone you see on a weekly basis and have been seeing on a weekly basis for years... it can feel personal, and that's why wrestling bonds so strongly with the people who watch it.

I was a fan of his silent character as Luke Harper, but really glad he got the run he did in AEW to show he how versatile he was as a performer. Also the BTE skits were great with the Dark order, going to miss his parts. I was hoping we'd get a conclusion and or advancement of the story of Brodie and Cult Cabana.
RIP.

Same, and it can only be because it’s someone who was of the here and now, so to speak. As harsh as it sounds, a lot of wrestler deaths are of your distant variety. Men and women who had been retired for years or had gotten old or just drifted out of the consciousness. Brodie Lee was only on AEW TV as a featured star, what, two months ago? Not to mention being a regular of WWE TV for the better part of the 2010s. This man was right in that consciousness. The closest deaths I can think of to this from a modern standpoint are Trent Acid, Larry Sweeney, and Lance Cade... and none of them even compare to this, just on a personal scale it seems, for so many people. Hana Kimura and Danny Havoc were also pretty comparable, I would say.

I saw the news on YouTube and rushed here, repeating "no. f*** no" to myself. Even after reading through 17 pages, I still can't believe it. Brodie Lee was one of favorites, going back to the Wyatt Family days. His AEW/BTE stuff has been a personal highlight for me and given me some much needed laughs during a very stressful year. God, is this even real right now? I was in the live threads for both his debut and his TNT Title win, and those were two of my favorite moments on this forum. Being able to share the excitement of seeing someone so deserving get his due was wonderful. And those are the only two AEW shows I've ever given a 10 in the ratings threads. It wasn't a coincidence. Life is short. Lord knows how much we've seen that already this year. Kobe. Shad. Hana. Chadwick. Brodie. May they all rest in power. Thank you for the memories. I found out by someone posting something in the chat during Lita's twitch stream. Which stopped her right in her tracks to go find the news. Once she did she said a little something about Brodie before ending her stream early to call her close friends who where close to him. It really hits hard the fact that you just never know.

Holy moly. How? He was a young man. His wife said a Lung Issue, not COVID related. We're unsure of how long he's had the issue or what it specifically was at this time.

When I saw this news earlier, it stopped me dead in my tracks. I just couldn't believe it. Brodie Lee was one of the true good guys in the business both in and out of the ring. You never heard anybody say a bad word about him as a person. I haven't read through the entire thread but I gained a whole new level of respect for him last summer when New Legacy Inc. and Player Uno did a charity stream for the Canadian Cancer Society and Brodie was among the people that took time out of their schedule to take part in the stream and at the end of the stream he donated a very generous sum of money to the charity. I can tell that his loss is hitting the wrestling community far and wide and as a fan I'm going to miss him as well. RIP Brodie Lee.

I imagine this is a really difficult time for some CZW guys losing two young wrestlers this year. Feel bad for Moxley, losing two guys who were close to him in a very short span.

This hurts worse than Owen or Eddie. When they passed, it was bad, but all I knew was their TV characters. With the advent of social media and various podcasts, you feel like you knew him on a more personal level even if you never met the guy.
I can't even fathom how his friends and family feel.

This makes it way more sad that the Rochester show he was set to debut on fell through; before it was just disappointing not getting his debut there, but now it means he never got the chance to wrestle there again.

Been a fan since I saw him kick Tim Donst’s head off his shoulders all those years ago.
Out of all the guys I saw in little halls with 150 people, I always rooted for him, Steen and Generico the most for some reason. This sucks. Haven’t been hit like this by any celebrity passing since Eddie. It feels like we know these guys sometimes. RIP

Not to sound flippant but I imagine whatever was being edited for BTE is out the door and they’ll either throw together clip show tribute or hold off a week so they can shoot new stuff No doubt it will be part,I doubt it will take over a whole episode but he was such a great figure there and took the Dark Order to new heights,I definitely expect whenever they are able to,the Dark Order will put out a tribute, maybe even on Dynamite too. At very least The Dark Order will live on as Brodies' Legacy. He may be dead but he helped this group rise and be something ,his wrestling career will live on with then.

It's devastating that we will never again get to hear him scream "WHAT THE f*** IS THIS SHIT??!!" at those idiots again. No doubt, there will be a Dark Order tribute segment in the near future.
