Some fans have really gotta learn that just because a talent may not get pushed by a promoter on a business level doesn’t mean that the promoter hates the talent on a personal level or actively wish them ill. Especially as Stephanie isn't even booking pushes or anything. And I don't think I've heard even the most jaded ex-WWE people say a single bad word about her on a personal level. Fans take shit more personal then they should You think you might "know" this person because you watch them weekly but the people who interacted with them knows them better. Let his colleagues mourn and hug their loved ones without the unnecessary bullshit and misery the same clowns bring weekly

I also lost my father at a young age and things like this go a long way: Lot of respect here for JR and good to see Brodie with a smile on his face.

Every single one of these messages are choking me up man. I know Rowan and Bray especially are taking this really hard. I just can't believe we are never gonna see a Wyatt Family reunion ever again And to think he only joined AEW in March. Man it feels like ages ago but it is not even a year yet. At least he got to win a title but damn it he had so much more to give to the wrestling business. I always said he could've been like The Undertaker cause he had the size and agility and that aura about him. This is such a tragedy. One of the biggest wrestling ones I can remember. I will definitely never forget him.

They just did a short bit on Brodie on BBC News on BBC One. Mainstream as you can get here.

I'm not really good at words with things like this, and it's not like I actually knew the guy. But it's a loss, and the outpouring of support drives in that people who did actually know him were better off for having him in their lives.

With how beloved Brodie Lee was. I'm confident that Tony Khan and or other wrestlers will make sure his family is taken of for life. Considering Brodie Lee was such a family man. I'm sure he had large insurance policy too. In order to make sure his family was taken care of. In case something horrible like this happen. Tony seems like an overall good guy who cares about his employees. I would hope he does something like this. Not to derail the thread but I really wish he was allowed to leave WWE sooner. It just goes to show how time can be so precious. I am sure he has no regrets about spending all that time with his family all those months but even still. Some things are more important than contracts and "no compete clauses". Hopefully we see a more human side to these organizations after this tragedy. That's all I'll say.

I can't fathom how he was wrestling as recently as 2 months ago and is now dead due to a health condition. I'm as confused as I am heartbroken.

If anything I hope Brodie Lee inspired more people to be like him. This business, the world, need more people like him But Sadly I don't see that happening, like how Hana's death didn't stop bullies.... Those thinga dont happen over night but I believe in leading by example ,even if it is a few peoppe you can have a positive impact

Struggling to know what I want to say.
Watching wrestling since 2000, a lot of my favourite's have gone. But this one cuts different. The outpouring of emotion from his colleagues, the consistent message of love and sheer sorrow is overwhelming.
We've all experienced loss and all my thoughts are with his family and friends. It sucks. But he'll be remembered.

As someone who has lived in places with no Chili’s, I’m never going to be able to think about it again without thinking of Brodie going “WITH F***ING BARBEQUE SAUCE!”
Seriously, the fact we even got as much as we did with Brodie helped me through this year.

Yesterday was a big processing/shock day, today is full on tears, with Fandango, Rowan, and JR's picture with little Brodie especially triggering the waterworks.

The closest Chili's is a a good 10-15 minutes away, which unfortunately makes for poor take-out in this weather. Once it's safe to eat at restaurants again, I'm going to Chili's and having some baby back ribs in honor of Brodie.
WITH f***ING BARBECUE SAUCE!!!

I’m kinda speechless. I figured something real was going on the way he disappeared and they kept it so quiet but man, this is just terrible I hate it. I’ve enjoyed him so much since he came to AEW. His look, his attitude, his stare, I was loving it. I’d like to think he’s been happy this past year.
And I know it don’t mean jack but for some reason I’m super happy they put the TNT title on him, he carried it well.

I also feel bad for Brian Pillman Jr. This situation no doubt must bring back many painful memories for him given the parallels with his father's tragic passing: a shockingly fast death, a young family left behind, a guy getting his first real push, exact.
Dammit, why did this happen? It seems so unfair on many different levels. Sorry, I had to vent there for a minute.

First, RIP to Brodie. Praying for his family.
I do hope that, when the time is right, we find out more about his condition. TBH, I’ve been dealing with a minor (I think) breathing issue since I had Covid a couple months back. While I know the word is that his condition was not Covid-related, I would like to find out a little more, so that those of us who deal with these issues can compare & hopefully find out whether it’s something we need to be more concerned about. But, that’s up to his wife & family whether they want to say more about it, and I can respect their decision either way.
