Hopefully it shares from the timestamp I want but if not, 1:03:12 for all the Brodie Lee highlights, including when he screwed over Austin Creed’s Uno game.

Thankfully I've managed to avoid the worst of them and most of the people I've seen have been respectful. It's just stuff like the replies to Stephanie's tweet. Paraphrasing: oh NOW you like him, what about when you didn't push him for years!? It's just like wtf man Yeah I’ve learnt when it comes to deaths in wrestling to just read the tweet by the other wresting person expressing their condolences and do not read the replies because it would at times make you lose faith in humanity. Just because you can express and opinion doesn’t mean you always should.

... There are no words, none, that I think can express this. I dunno if we ever knew the full measure of this man. Near the time of his passing, Ty Cobb, a great ball player but one of the meanest bastards to come down the pike, was asked if he he could do it again, would he change anything. He said he would have more friends. Brodie... Jon... didn’t need the flutter of the wings to do it. Everything being spoken here, on Twitter, Instagram and will be spoken on wrestling programming in the weeks to come will show that the size of the giant was eclipsed by the depth of his character and and the compassion of a heart beyond measure. Here, my friends, quite simply was the best of us. I hope I can be like him... and see him when I reach the end of my road and hear the wings.

I didn't expect to wake up to this on my newsfeed. Quite a kick to the gut. My best to his family and many friends. Rest in peace Exalted One.

BBC news actually reported on Lee's passing in one of the afternoon bulletins, and quoted the tweets from Hogan and HHH.

Can someone briefly explain to me the "It's Sunday you know what that means" origin? Was that a catchphrase of his on the independents pre WWE or is that an inside joke he used with the boys outside of wrestling?
I hadn't followed much of his work outside of the Luke Harper character.

I saw it on CNN's news crawl earlier. Was... kind of odd in that they said the news was broken by WWE, but they did list both his real name and both ring names.

(Language warning from the start) Watched this earlier and laughed my ass off from the second he joined the call. Brodie: "Hey Austin, I just wanted to say... f*** you!" *Laughter from Uno and the nl Bois* Jawnny: "To whom do we owe this f***ing of you?"

Probably just because the WWE is the more well known brand. Eh, sure, but even though it’s a minor thing, it still shows you need to make sure you have the right source for stuff. Especially somewhere like CNN that sort of should know better. It’s also why it’s hard for Twitter stuff to be news unless you really scout and know how to backtrack.

Here in NZ it made the rounds too. The headline here said "WWE Wrestler" in it but the article mentioned AEW and the statement they released before mentioning the WWE statement. I guess it's all about what gets them the most clicks unfortunately.

Plus, it’s kinda egregious, since CNN’s parent company is the same one who airs the network that broadcasts AEW.

The closest Chili's is a a good 10-15 minutes away, which unfortunately makes for poor take-out in this weather. Once it's safe to eat at restaurants again, I'm going to Chili's and having some baby back ribs in honor of Brodie. WITH f***ING BARBECUE SAUCE!!! My Chili's started doing delivery earlier this year, perhaps yours is as well? I had no idea they did until I was randomly on their website because I have that kind of time, and I've twice gotten Chili's delivered.

I just saw the news. I don't know what to say. He had been a favorite of mine for years. This one really hurts. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

adjective: exalted 1. (of a person or their rank or status) placed at a high or powerful level; held in high regard.
Very fitting indeed.

Got curious and looked...
7 of the top 10 selling items on PWT right now are Brodie shirts (Sting tee, Sting zip up hoodie, & mystery shirt are the outliers.)
The good thing about PWT being print on demand is you won’t have a Kobe situation earlier this year where everything sells out the same day he died and people were immediately putting his shoes, shirts, etc on places like StockX & Grailed at 300% or more mark up (damn vultures)
I hope all profits from this merch explosion go to his family. I’m sure they will though.
