I was really interestd how the Brodie/Silver dynamic was gonna grow, dude definitely had a lot he wanted to do on AEW,which is the biggest shame.
Sooner or later everybody dies, but everyone should do the fullest they can or want to do.The biggest shame is a great guy going away while having such a promising and happy future ahead

With how beloved Brodie Lee was. I'm confident that Tony Khan and or other wrestlers will make sure his family is taken of for life. Considering Brodie Lee was such a family man. I'm sure he had large insurance policy too. In order to make sure his family was taken care of. In case something horrible like this happen. Tony seems like an overall good guy who cares about his employees. I would hope he does something like this. Not to derail the thread but I really wish he was allowed to leave WWE sooner. It just goes to show how time can be so precious. I am sure he has no regrets about spending all that time with his family all those months but even still. Some things are more important than contracts and "no compete clauses". Hopefully we see a more human side to these organizations after this tragedy. That's all I'll say. Yeah it felt like his career with AEW was only just getting started. I guess the bright side is even though he was only on tv with AEW for about seven months. He made a big impact in such a short time. He legitimized the Dark Order. He faced Moxley for World Title on one of AEW biggest ppvs of the year in co-main event. Looking like a monster kicking out of paradigm shift 3 times when nobody was kicking out of it back then. Then he went on to be the first guy to beat Cody clean and squashed him to win TNT title. In probably AEW hottest finish to Dynamite in 2020. Not to mention him and Dustin Rhodes main evented the Dynamite episode that did over million viewers and quarter had over million people watching. Which IMO was great accomplishment. Since they were two ex WWE guys who were seen as not good enough anymore to get on tv in 2018. His match with Orange Cassidy did another good rating. While his Dog Collar match was an awesome brutal and unforgettable match. So his run with AEW was short and there's no doubt he wanted and expected it to be much longer(and of course his actual life to be much longer). But you can tell how happy he was and I'm grateful for him that he had such a good run with AEW. As sad and horrible as this is. Just imagine if this happen if this happen last December. When he was waiting for his contract to end. Never getting the opportunity that he had to show the world how good he was. It just goes to show. That you can be a big strong athlete in great shape and just turn 41 years ago. But if you catch a bad break your life can be over just like that. It's really sad to think this guy was having match like Dog Collar match in October and healthy. Then would be dead by December 26th. That's crazy to me.

Man, everytime I check this thread I'm hit with more emotions. It's so hard to process this.

youtu.be/9q0vMxPQ88IHere's AEW Unrestricted Brodie Lee filmed I believe in mid to late October(after Dog Collar match). It was released November 2nd. But it was likely filmed week or two before that. I believe this is last time there's footage of Brodie Lee alive. He must have gotten his lung issue shorty after this interview.

It's only just now processing with me that he's gone.
I feel like Wednesday will be when I, and most other people, will be able to fully come to grips with it. Right now, my thoughts are simply on his family, and his closest friends. Especially Bray and Eddie Kingston.

Looking back how long WWE had him sitting not being used is a blessing in disguise. That's about a year of extra time his family got to spend with him that they wouldn't have otherwise.

The more I read, the sadder this gets.
It appears he was genuinely someone that was a really good guy.
What a tragedy.

Just to warn people, there’s an article going around from a website that really should know better with an article basically saying that AEW and Huber’s family should give the full medical history about what happened to him even though his wife said enough which is, IMO, beyond goddamn scummy.
I’m not a full time mod but I’m putting it here because I’d very much would rather it not be posted here. This topic has almost gone another way a couple of times and I’d rather it not get pushed again.

Ya know, I’m mad they did him dirty, and I know he was frustrated, but that’s a great way to look at that. Thanks for the perspective.

Did some digging and goddamn that is gross, especially with how it's basically conspiracy-mongering about it. If the family wants to give more in depth information, that's their right. If they don't then none of us should be asking for it.

What the f*** makes anybody think that that information is the business of anybody except the Huber family? The nerve of some f***ing people.

The real idiocy of that article is that it's pure speculation that tries to question his wife without actually saying it. It basically says "So we know his wife said it wasn't COVID related. But, what if it was?"

If they hadnt said specifically it wasn't, then I could understand the question, but given his widow has said that, now is not the time to be questioning the words of a grieving wife and mother.
Just, no. Clickbait of the worst kind.
Ghoulish.

He said it was in interviews after he left wwe.He said it sucked for his career because he wanted to wrestle but it allowed him to have extra time with his wife & kids.He was glad they didn’t make him go to the tv’s or houseshows just to sit in catering instead they just kept him home.
