A few years ago AJ Styles was interviewed about what winning the WWE Championship meant to him, and what it felt like at that point in his career. His answer always stuck with me; what really made the occasion special for him was Jon approaching him afterwards and saying "congratulations, you did it the right way, you really earned it." Mr. Huber sounds like a man who really went out of his way to love on people, and tried his best to be there during good and hard times. Real sorry for his family. RIP.

He's also doing this while grieving Brodie and Hodge, the latter of which was a significant figure in his life. He has his faults but I believe he's a good person and I'm sure this means the world to Brodie to have that distraction for a day. JR in a lot of ways is like my stepdad. He's a good man, at the end of the day, but the things that come out his mouth can make you want to strangle him sometimes, and he's at that age where he officially doesn't understand "the kids" anymore and would rather complain than try to keep up. In the end, though, he does care, and I think JR cares, too. It's sad, but sometimes traumatic events like this remind us of the humanity within some of the people we frequently have clashing views with. The likes of Punk, Jericho, and JR through the midst of having recent times where people have rolled their eyes at them quite hard, really showed their humanity within the last 24 hours, and I really appreciate it. Sometimes wrestling can feel like such a selfish, heartless business, a lot of people showed they have a lot of empathy and very big hearts within the last 24 hours, and I hope that only continues to be the case and they do it for the likes of Brodie.

While not as disrespectful aa the.writer. Strowman posted a fan's drawing tribute but edited out Cody and the artists signature of it,for some reason, feels completely unnecessary Oh for f***'s sake. Of course the moment I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, he decides to be a jackass.

Jesus. I've never seen a promoter go quite so... legit behind the scenes like that.

It's been over 24 hours and I'm still in shock, he was my favorite member of the Wyatt Family.
I just rewatched his Elimination Chamber 2017 match as that was his best WWE match and hearing the crowd give him a "Let's Go Harper!" and "This Is Awesome!" chant was incredible, even knowing the outcome it felt like he would actually beat Orton. I only wish he had been around long enough to hear a "Let's Go Brodie!" chant from the AEW crowd. Hell, him destroying Cody for the TNT Title was an inside joke between me and some friends cause of how hilariously one-sided it was. As short as his run was, his AEW Title match with Moxley and rematch with Cody were amazing.
Thank you Mr. Brodie Lee!

Awe f***, waterworks are flowing again. Such a kick in the balls, I’m still in absolute shock about this and the Tweet from Dougie Gilmour shows how far Brodie’s impact went. F***ing sucks that this is how we close out an already shit year

As he's cooled down in the last decade, Orton has gradually become one of the (publicly) realest dudes in WWE. This is a super touching tribute

I know everybody is "supposed" to speak well of the dead, but I'm seeing wall-to-wall stories of how great a guy Jon was and they all read incredibly genuine. It feels like another Owen situation where we've lost a guy who was too good for a downright scummy business. The world is a worse place for his passing.

Just saw the Randy Orton IG post, beautiful read
That’s a man who really doesn’t wear his emotions on his sleeve so can tell this one hit him deep

The Orton Wyatt Family stuff was such a great run, him, Bray, and Brodie clicked super well together. Still such a huge shame they didn't do a triple threat.

According to Meltzer, Brodie was not sick until he took his break from the Dog Collar Match. Writing him out a few weeks was always the plan, but then he said he took a ride on his Peloton Bicycle and he said he was so tired he quit, the scary thing is, he references this on his last AEW Unrestricted Podcast, but used it to sell the Dog Collar Match beating in the moment.
So whatever happened to Brodie, it was very quick, and it got bad fast. Meltzer basically just said "His lungs stopped working", and that's horrible... just out of nowhere, I really wonder what could take someone out at peak physical condition like that.

Yeah I have no idea. Here I thought the dog collar match was an ankle injury or at less that what I thought they reported. Clearly something else can up, but what no idea. Not a doctor. It has to be something rare I feel like. Because someone who was fit, an athlete at 41. Who I'm sure was passing physicals wrestlers take before matches.

So people on Twitter continue to be the worst. Very small minority thankfully but all the armchair detectives following Bruce Mitchell's lead and inventing some kind of conspiracy narrative. It's sad to see.

Sadly, it could be anything Whether it be a genetic condition undiagnosed, cancer, etc His wife said it wasn't COVID-19 related but we have seen people in their physical prime get taken down by COVID and some of them dying as well. It will be up to his family how much they want to share but all things considered this seems to have happened suddenly. If he had a prior diagnosis like Chadwick Boseman, I would think they would have stated that in the statement in how he died Hopefully, everyone on the AEW roster and wrestling world in general is getting themselves checked out. You never know what is in your body that can shut you down like that
