This weeks' Being the Elite is, understandably, a tribute to a friend. No words.

I dont't think I have ever lost someone close to me yet, even family member it was only people I was distant to.
I think the reason that this one is the only "celebrety" death to ever affect me is that I have been locked down in my house since the start of the quarentine.
The one constant highlight of my week of the quarantine would always be The Dark Order on BTE,so knowing I will never see Brodie again on it actually hurts me.It wasnt just a youtube show for those last months,it was one of the things keeping me sane.It might be the closest I have yet of a death that was personal to me.

Funny how some of the most polarizing people in the business (Punk, Orton, JR, Rollins) are providing the most beautiful and poignant responses to this tragedy. Brodie touched more people than maybe even he realized. The world has lost one of the true good ones.

I know everybody is "supposed" to speak well of the dead, but I'm seeing wall-to-wall stories of how great a guy Jon was and they all read incredibly genuine. It feels like another Owen situation where we've lost a guy who was too good for a downright scummy business. The world is a worse place for his passing. Hell it looks like he touched more hearts than even Owen and Eddie, though obviously social media is more prevalent now.

Just a weird thought that came across my head. Like this might not be connected at all, but I recall about a couple of weeks back a thread on the WWE section noting that Bray was acting pretty high during a promo. So that got me thinking... Maybe Bray knew. Maybe he was just, like I dunno, going through with grief or something like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brodie had a pulmonary embolism, especially with how sudden they can get very dangerous. And a lot of them can come following blood clots in the leg (aka, deep vein thrombosis).
Like, ultimately it's his family's decision to reveal as much or as little as they do. But based on the information we have and the circumstances surrounding Brodie's original absence (leg injury), well, like I said I wouldn't be surprised. And unlike what certain clickbait articles speculate, it doesn't have anything to do with COVID-19.

According to Meltzer, Brodie was originally supposed to stay off TV for a few weeks to sell the match, then Huber noticed himself getting incredibly tired while exercising, and by late October he was in the hospital.
Completely f***ing crazy to think he was basically hospitalised within a few weeks of the dog collar match. Part of me wonders if Wyatt asked to be written off TV at TLC because of that. The Jacksonville mayo clinic is like 20 minutes from Daily's Place and a couple of hours from the Thunderdome

I'm still struggling with how I feel about all of this. I don't know if I'll ever be able to properly convey how I feel about this. It's just so awful. But seeing all the stories come out, the genuine love sent out, is helping. Still...
