So let's get started with February...
71/ The Devil Outside (2018) – effective and suspensful drama dealing with religion featuring great performances particularly from the two main child actors. Strong enough movie that I think it deserves a wider audience.
72/ Bruce Vs The Iron Hand (aka Bruce and the Iron Finger) (1979) – Bruceploitation starring Bruce Li that is a whole lot of fun with some enjoyable fighting scenes and such awesome dialogue as “you know my kung fu stops me having sex, you wanna kill me?” and a woman riding riding a guy like he's a horse as part of foreplay. Another Bruceploitation gem for me.

#34 - Bohemian Rhapsody
*Blu-Ray
A very enjoyable film, but one that feels more like a rock concert than an actual movie. Still, it’s a lot of fun and the acting, particularly from Malek, is outstanding and does more than enough to make this a great time. [****]
Also, just ordered the final piece for my home theater, a 4K player! It goes with my blackout curtains, theater seats, and soundbar. May add LED lights in the future.

73/ Those Glory Days (1983) – charming British movie about a woman reminscing back to the early 60s and her love for the Football club Totenham Hotspurs, the main girl is incredibly likable as we go on her journey. Oddly this film reminded me of Bayley – who growing up as a tomboy and such a fan of something all her school reports was on wrestling (just like this girls reports are on football).
74/ Sharma and Beyond (1984) – Proof that titles can be important, like could you guess what this is about based on the title. I am apparently in a 80s British movie movie today. This is a romcom about a writer/English teacher who starts dating the daughter of his favourite sci-fi writer, there is some sweetness there but it comes across at times he's using the daughter while I think the point is meant to be he's starstruck. I still enjoyed it overall

#35 - John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum
*Blu-Ray
The best installment of the series thanks to some absolutely mind-blowing action scenes, good acting, and incredible style. It has some issues like some of the hierarchy stuff and some lackluster characters. However, it's non-stop action done in such a cool way that it's hard to not love it. [****½]

27. PMS Cop* *DVD* This one had all the tools to be awesome but it never worked out. It could have been campy and funny but it wasn’t. There could have been tons of great gore effects but there was barely any. I was very disappointed by this one. The best part was PMS Cop ripping some dudes jaw off but that was in the first half an hour. The rest was her transforming into a less hot version of herself (via another actress who looked like Marilyn Manson) terrorizing the lab that created the drug which transformed her into an unstoppable killing machine. Very reminiscent of Terminator (the synth soundtrack didn’t hurt) but like I said with this silly concept it could have been so much fun but they went for serious-ish.

75/ The Sea Shall Not Have Them (1954) – not a criticism of British war movies of this time but a lot of them have the same tone, characters sound the same etc. This is about and RAF plane getting shot down and desperately trying to survive in a dinghy, hoping rescue will come. I really enjoyed this and the ending is really dynamic too.
76/ The Absent Minded Professor (1961) – Disney movie that is an whole lot of fun and a whole lot of charm to go with it. I thought Fred MacMurray was terrific in this movie and so immensely watchable, I liked an whole bunch of the other characters too. Enjoyable.
77/ No Man's Woman (1955) – I started watching this on Amazon Prime last night but wasn't getting tired and had like 15 minutes to go and I went on to watch this rest of this morning and with no warning it was gone (usually Amazon tell you when something is getting remove), luckily Youtube had the movie on so I completed it there. So about the film – I liked it, a mystery where loads of characters could have done it with good reason and it breezes by at 70 minutes long.

78/ The Toolbox Murders (1978) – this was one of the more well known Video Nasties here in the UK that I had yet to see and at one point was released on DVD here cut. Overall I liked it, there was some odd but good soundtrack choices and the characters are memorable enough.
79/ How To Fake A War (2019) – this just wasn't something I liked overall, it feels like I'd seen it all before (Wag The Dog, Foreign Correspondents etc.). It's about a PR company faking a news story after a ceasefire is declared because there is a charity concert coming up, there is potential in the plot but it's just not funny and lacks any satricial bite. Not worth your time.
80/ Freeway II: Confessions Of A Trickbaby (1999) – like the first movie was based on Red Riding Hood, this is based somewhat on Hansel & Gretel and I really liked this (like the first one), it's not perfect but liked the atmosphere and Natasha Lyonne I always like watching and her co-star Maria Celadonic is great too (not too familiar with her but she shines). Probably loses it's way towards the end still didn't stop me from really digging this.
81/ Sunset Strip (1985) – if this wasn't made smack dab in the middle of the decade you could swear this was a parody of 80s movies, it as so many things you associate with the 80s, like the music, dialogue, the characters including the criminals acting like they only do in 80s movies. Also the acting is not good, but all of this is where the films charm is.

#36 - The World's End
*Vudu
A lot of the signature Edgar Wright tropes are here and I really like those parts. However, this is easily the worst of this series as it's nowhere near as funny, the characters aren't as likable, and the plot is pretty messy. There are cool action scenes and some solid moments but nothing more. [**½]

82/ Don't Say A Word (2001) – Things I learnt from this movie: Don't be the child of Famke Janssen in a movie or you will get kidnapped. On to the film I was actually surprised at how much I liked this, it was a kidnap movie but a girl with post dramatic stress disorder (a great performance by Brittany Murphy) is the key here. This genuinely kept me intersted. A sad note though besides Brittany Murphy, the actress (Skye McCole Bartusiak) sadly passed away young too at only 21 years old.
83/ Liar (aka Deceiver) (1997) – guess I was in a thriller sort of mood today. This was uneven at times but ultimately I was interested in where the story went. I liked the cast such as Tim Roth, Michael Rooker, Chris Penn (always a bit underrated IMO) and a small role for Reneé Zellweger.

#37 - No Country For Old Men
*HBOMax
Despite all the praise they get, I've never been big on Coen Brothers films. However, this might be my favorite. Javier Bardem is terrifying and the scene with the clerk is one of the intense I can recall. The other performances are also strong and I was engaged throughout but this kind of whimpered at the end. 28. Destroyer (1988)* *tubi* I love movies that involve electrical theory and get it so wrong. This one looked and felt really cool. The guy who played the killer was f***ing incredible and the scenarios that played out were awesome. It was really, really slow. Everything that should have happened over the course of its 90 minutes happened in a quick ten minutes. But for some odd reason that didn’t matter. I guess it’s one of those rare ones that actually did a good job of building the characters. Who knew those existed in low budget horror? But sadly it just wasn’t gory enough. It could have been on the level of Argentos ‘Demons’ (because for some reason I kept thinking of that movie while I watched it) but the violence was kept to a hard PG-13 level. Still a worthwhile lost 1980’s gem. I enjoyed it.

84/ Hard Eight (1996) – yeah I really dug this, firstly great cast – John C. Reilly, Philip Baker Hall, Samuel L. Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow. I just liked the all tone of it with some neat twists and turns and didn't go how I expected it from the first quarter of the movie.
85/ Ghostkeeper (1981) – while I didn't adore this by any stretch of the imagination it built up a nice atmosphere and it just flew up after the first 15 minutes (which felt slow for some reason). Worth a watch I think.

#38 - Malcolm & Marie

I can see why some folks don't love this. It's just people acting at each other but I really liked it since I love both actors. Their performances are great and it's remarkable to watch the highs and lows of what they go through. At times, you sympathize with both characters and at others, you hate both. [****]

13. Alien vs Predator
The plot? No, let’s not worry about that. Acting? No, nothing much there. Aliens and predators beating the snot out of each other? Ding ding ding ding!! We have a winner.
