Oh man, I hope Sting doesn't get hurt in this match, I hope Darby takes the bulk of the spots because this could be a PR nightmare if Sting gets maimed from this

Yeah, considering they were talking about streets and Sting's own talk about being asked by Khan if he wanted to do cinematic matches, this pretty much tells me it's going to be an actual street fight ala the Parking Lot Brawl or something along those lines.

The comments on this match are f***ing cringe, I really hate Twitter sometimes
The amount of people grasping a straws trying to compare Sting wrestling in a cinematic tag match to Goldberg wrestling in the main event of a show for a world title is absolutely headache inducing.
Sting was always gonna wrestle in some form on a multi-year signing deal, it being a cinematic means they can protect Sting wholeheartedly, and he wouldn't be doing it unless he was completely cleared to wrestle again.
I'm just glad Sting's last match isn't gonna be that disaster vs Rollins.

That's not something you can say for most people that wrestle Goldberg. Legends getting involved isn't a bad thing if they help make stars instead of just protecting their own.

I mean there's a chance this match ends with Sting being the one pinned. I'm gonna assume not they'd wanna save that for a huge moment but the thougt of Starks pinning Sting to set up a big TNT Title rematch between Starks and Darby could be amazing. We'll see, but AEW Cinematics are amazing and I expect the same here.

Imagine telling Ricky a year ago when he was working a midcard program in the NWA that he would be having a match with Sting on PPV in a year. Insanity.

Imagine telling Darby when he was living in his car that he'd eventually have a PPV program with Sting, while being a champion that signifies you are the face of the TNT Brand. Hell of a story all around.

So a cinematic street fight where Sting is protected by 3 great workers and cinematic trickery? Sounds good to me. I'm hyped.

And yeah, the comments are semi-cringe but I can see where they're coming from. People thought AEW wouldn't use legends and push younger talent, but you do need the names to get that talent to the mainstream. It's just the way things are

The entire crux of this story is getting Darby over, pretty good chance even if Darby and Sting win this, Darby's pinning someone. Depends on how crazy this gets.

I can admit if Sting pins someone I'll be upset, it should be Darby's moment. But thank goodness it's Sting who is pretty selfless and not another legend
