I'm wondering if we'll see more this year which PPV is gonna stand out as AEW's big #1 WM/Starrcade/Bound for Glory show, because although All Out is probably the main candidate due to being first (kinda if you count All In...), Revolution felt bigger to me last year.

Wonder what bells and whistles they pull out to help Sting out

Match'll probably be fun, though hopefully it'll be the end of this feud. This thing should've been over with six months ago.

I think it would probably be wise to position a show that's likely to move around, since (pandemic times not withstanding), they want to keep Double or Nothing and All Out confined to Vegas and the Sears Center.

The show is moving to airing on March 6th reports from The Observer are saying. Apparently there's gonna be competition from a UFC PPV the original day so they wanna avoid it.

Might move it to Sunday the 7th. And the PPV announced for Feb 27th is a Canelo Alvarez fight. There is a UFC PPV on March 6th and Mayweather is fighting on February 20th.

It's not even a UFC PPV, Meltzer said it's one of those dumbass Jake Paul boxing events. Until we get 100% confirmation though I refuse to believe that anyone would back down from a set date out of fear of competing with Jake f***ing Paul.

It's easy to mock but his shows have done phenomenal numbers and took a good bite out of the first Full Gear. I'd avoid it too if I were them.

He fighting later in the year. It’s Canelo Alvarez.

Meltzer confirmed on Observer Radio that it will be on March 7th, with Canelo fighting on the 27th and a UFC PPV with three title matches on March 6th.

Saturday PPVs just feel super wrong to me and throw me off into thinking the next day is Monday so I welcome this change.

Dammit. One of my favourite things about AEW is that they have PPVs on a Saturday so I can watch them live without booking a day off work.

Yeah same, being able to sit down and watch a PPV from like 10am to 1pm is really nice and I literally cannot get out of work on mondays without calling in sick so it's not an option.

It's not a permanent change to be fair to everyone not a fan of this. But I get why they're doing it. I wouldn't want to compete against a fat UFC card either especially when the first match they've confirmed to the card is Sting's return to wrestling. They might be gunning to break their buy record.

Annual Leave has been put through. I'm not missing that shit. Yeah in fairness I booked the day off this morning. I haven't watched a Sting PPV match outside of TNA live, ever. And thanks to my nervous breakdown over the summer, I actually have the leave spare!
