Really is incredible that once Harold Meij left they just got down to business. I kind of wonder if that was a driving reason to why Meij inevitably stepped down. Everyone else wanted to work with AEW, he didn't, due to the conflict of interests he decided it wouldn't be under his watch anymore. Considering how quick the New Japan mentions and nods happened after he left and now we're here? It just says a lot, Meij really was the shut door. I’m a layman in terms of NJPW but it seems like he was also just bad at his job.

Come on naysayers, I want to keep hearing you saying, "yeah, that happened, but THIS OTHER THING isn't going to ever happen, they would NEVER do tgat!" just one more time. Shout it for the people in the back.
I'm sure this time you're going to be right and be able to rub it in the faces of those that are excited at these theoretical prospects that have continued to become reality.
I swear, some of you people just HATE the idea of fun; maybe it's years of abuse from another promotion talking or something, but man lighten the hell up and let people enjoy the moment.
Shitting on cross-promotional ideas with so much negativity when reality has proven otherwise really is a driving factor why the IWC gets such a negative perception and why fan retention continues to shrink.

Yeah, him screwing up and losing Omega through arrogance was a big part of it, but I think he had fumbled other things, too. I think he might have been the one that picked up STARDOM, which was a coup, but clearly not enough to keep the confidence of the company, I guess.

I get where you're coming from, especially with how patronizing it sometimes can be when people rail on it, but I don't think getting confrontational about it is helpful, either. It makes sense to get excited, but we should dial it back a little.

I figure Cobb may be in Japan, right? Otherwise, I know Cody mentioned wanting Cobb around for at least one more match before the pandemic happened. He'd certainly fit the bill. That said, he's also obviously been keeping busy, so I get it if it's not in the cards for now.

It makes sense to get excited, but we should dial it back a little. I'm not one for confrontation or wanting to rub it in peoples faces, but if you go back earlier in this thread or even see the thread in wrest when it came to NJPW/AEW working together, the amount of cynicism behind it was straight up baffling, to the point Mods had to get involved in the one thread. I for one find it extremely validating that the hints and drops that I was seeing and being told "Stop it, there's nothing there" was actually leading to what I and others thought may happen. The moral here is even if something doesn't come of speculation, don't shit on people for speculating, that's half the fun.
