The worst part of it is that I think Michelle Tratchenberg was a minor through her entire run on Buffy. Just that kind of rule had to be made is extremely troubling. She was. I think 15 when she started so 17 when it ended? Maybe? Yeah, this went from ugly to really creepy at light speed. Whether it's creeper behavior or just shouting at actors, I think it just clicked for me why American teen dramas always tend to cast 20 somethings

Or, depending how you look at it, all the extra work you miss out on. Can't have minors pulling 16 hour days on set like you can with the 18 and ups.

Can't have minors pulling 16 hour days on set like you can with the 18 and ups. That too. But you legally have to make all sorts of extra conditions when minors are working on set.

So it doesn’t seem as bad as it could have been but it’s still pretty damn bad.

At least it was because Joss was an asshole and not, you know, anything far worse.

So it doesn’t seem as bad as it could have been but it’s still pretty damn bad. Um, ick? Trachenberg was 15, I shudder to think what he would have said to her. Then again, he did slip past calling a woman the c word thanks to Loki’s mastery of old English. And that stock photo of Whedon between Trachenberg and Benson is SO creepy in retrospect.

I don't want to cast aspersions of that nature on someone without proof, but that wording alludes to something of a sexual nature, whether that was the intention or not. The price for needing to use purposefully vague language, I guess.

Yeah, the way it's phrased could mean anything. It could just be he said something particularly mean, or it could be he was all "yo I'd f*** Michelle if I had the chance." We don't know one way or the other right now.

I swear I remember hearing that the reason SMG wanted to leave Buffy was because of Whedon; that she couldn't stand him anymore. This was ages ago, so I wouldn't even know where to begin to verify it, but it certainly lines up with everything we've learned since. The stuff with Charisma Carpenter has been long known, and is total bullshit, but I'll never tire of it being spoken about. I love Buffy and Angel, but Joss Whedon can kick rocks until the end of time. www.syfy.com/syfywire/sarah-michelle-gellar-severed-whedon-relationship-buffy?amp

Textbook. Whedon's always been his own most vocal supporter, letting the entire world known how great he is, so essentially running the Buffy and Angel sets like his own little fiefdoms where people are made to compete for his favour really fits with that behaviour.

Even if it weren't a Buffy reference, I think Hellmouth is a great alternative name for Joss given all we know.

Should have named it Bunnycon.
Or, in tribute to Charisma, "You're Welcome"

I listen to the Office Ladies podcast and found out Whedon had directed a couple episodes of The Office. I had no idea.
