I remember having fun at the mall with my first crush. There was even a carousel. Luckily, she didn’t die. We just got some Mrs. Field's and went home.

Someone on twitter mentioned they hope when Part 2 is being filmed and Abby gets cast, that it's someone who doesn't have social media. Took me a minute to remember everything that happened to Abby's VA and everything, and now I'm like "Oh no"

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{TLOU 2 SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Someone on twitter mentioned they hope when Part 2 is being filmed and Abby gets cast, that it's someone who doesn't have social media. Took me a minute to remember everything that happened to Abby's VA and everything, and now I'm like "Oh no". And Abby s VA is fairly famous in our world so its strange. (I think its cool if you mention Abby without spoilers tag unless you discuss plots of TLOU 2)

My take on episode 7. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I knew the adaptation of "Left Behind" was coming and I wondered how it would play out. The entire focus was on Ellie and Riley in the mall and their friendship. I also recognized a lot of their dialogue.
I understand that for the main part of the story that it had Joel resting and Ellie taking care of him. So I could guess that in the next episode, which will involve David, Ellie will find some stuff to aid him. Okay, I can live with that, rather than do the adventure in the other mall when Ellie looked for first aid.
I have to give both actresses credit. A lot of their dynamic mirrored the way the characters was in the game. Also, the mall's environments felt accurate. I questioned if CVS and Gamestop existed in the early-aughts, but then I remembered that CVS had existed for decades. It's just in my parts, it was Long's Drugs for the longest time until CVS bought them. The same with Gamestop when it was Funcoland at first but then renamed early in the aughts. Then Gamestop bought EB Games, at least here in the states.
I am also fine with the deviations made. I liked the lighting to give it a different feel when the two girls walked out at night. The same with the lights in the mall. I also liked the arcade scene. No need to recreate when Ellie had to imagine the fighting game when instead the two played "Mortal Kombat II." It's funny because I had been playing MK9 lately.
I was also fine with their trip to the mall ending at the Halloween store rather than at the retailer. I would have liked to have seen the water gun fight, but I think it would have been weird to have that after the emotional part when Ellie found out that Riley had been recruited by the Fireflies. Yes, it was in the game, but it happened right after the arcade scene. Now that I think about it, the Halloween store and arcade scenes were flip-flopped.
Overall, I enjoyed the episode and I also liked how they deviated things in this episode.

Great episode, though I do kinda think if they hadn't mentioned what was going to happen earlier in the series it would have had a bit more to it tension wise.
Cannot wait for next week.

I really enjoyed that episode. 95% adorable and 5% crippling pain.
It's been a few years since I played TLOU and I only played it once so my memories of the game are very patchy, but the stuff in next week's episode is what stuck with me the most (other than the ending) so I'm looking forward to how that plays out.

An incredible episode. Not quite up there with the Bill and Frank episode, but still very moving and dramatic. As someone who hasn’t played the game I’m coming into everything fresh, so it was good to see Ellie’s background revealed. Her joy at things like an escalator was delightful, and showed a whole new side to her. I like ‘teenager’ Ellie, and it’s good when that side is revealed.
What a phenomenal programme this is.

We got to see Ellie a little more "naive" version of Ellie. Not as gruff but still a loud mouth and one who attitude changed when Riley left as they said so was even softer then that Something that also is underneath the surface is how Ellie gravitates to authority figures to an extent. Riley, Captain Kwong and Joel all have taken Ellie under their wing and she followed them or at least respected them enough to hear them out when they talk or tell her to go along with a plan As rebellious as she is, she was going to follow the program. I'll be interested to see how they continue to show that along for the journey

They're fans of both episodes showing similarities between Frank and Bill's stories and Ellie and Riley's. I meant aching in a "this is sad but so sweet" kind of way haha.

Yeah I do like that while it is doom and gloom it isn’t all bad. They find silver linings as opposed to everything going to shit and you having no real hope Makes me hopeful in how they will handle Part 2

If they really wanna start season 2 with a bang, they'll have THAT scene in the season premiere.
The reaction would be incredible/hilarious.
