So are they really going through with (MAJOR game spoilers): {Spoiler}Joel's death This soon or do you think they avert it? {Spoiler}Pedro Pascal is an absurdly busy man; the guy's in practically everything at the moment. It wouldn't surprise me if Joel being killed off was a selling point, as it means he doesn't have to make a long-term commitment. Still, I half expect the timeline to get jiggled about and Joel get killed midway through the season rather than right at the start.

There is a year until this actor, who looks to be rake thin as most actors are, has to play Abby, and in that time there is no way in hell she is going to reach the level of buff that Abby is in the games. And the thing is, this isn't just a 'not looking like the character' thing. Abby is absurdly buff as a direct reflection of her unhinged obsession with revenge for half of her life that eventually proves to have been futile. If you were asked to describe her as a character, a word like 'buff' or 'swole' or whatever would be one of the first words out of your mouth, if not the first. Counterpoint: Those photos were taken four months apart. If a 54 year-old Hugh Jackman – who is also rake thin most of the time – can bulk up to that extent, I'm sure a 27 year-old won't have any trouble bulking up over a similar time period.

Well, we now have our Abby Kaitlyn Dever. Interesting choice, I first saw her in Last Man Standing. She'll do fine acting wise, just hope she's ready for the general reaction to this role and everything else. Okay, so I know I'm going to end up sounding like I'm one of those misogynist, racist, queerphobic Twitter trolls, but this casting has made me way angrier than it should. For transparency, yes I am thirsty for huge buff women, it's my jam. I'm on a wrestling forum, Chyna was one of my first crushes as a child. Abby is like my number one video game crush. It's one of my things. Whatever. But this isn't me being like one of those racist Tolkien nerds complaining about how nobody in Middle Earth can be black, or complaining that my fap fantasy is not coming to fruition in the series (I haven't even watched the first season yet). Some people have suggested she might get CGI muscles or a body suit put on or something, and with how good effects are nowadays, maybe that would work. But you could also have just. Y'know. Cast someone who looks like that??? I admit I cannot name any actors who are as buff as Abby and could handle this acting workload and so who could get cast in that part, but uh, I'm not a casting director, it's not my job to. I simply do not believe that there did not exist an actor who both could have the level of bulk Abby has and be able to do the acting that the character requires for this show. I'm not an idiot, I know this will be a marketing thing primarily (both for getting someone with name value for the part although I've never heard of her, and that TV shows just generally do not cast people with non traditionally attractive body types), but man. It's really annoyed me more than it should have. Jensen Ackles buffed up pretty quickly for Soldier Boy when he joined The Boys, I'm pretty sure. One article says he had six months to do it. I'm not a body builder so I don't know all the ins and outs of it, but I think that it could work, to some extent. Besides, we don't know exactly what of Abby we'll get to see in season 2, especially if they split it into multiple seasons. We might get younger Abby, and give Dever more time to get to the level her body needs to be older Abby.

I can't wait for this. Season 1 was great. And I actually enjoyed TLOU 2 as a game {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I think it would have been better recieved if you played as Abby first, because as it was, after seeing her kill Joel it soured her playthrough--even though storywise it was quite good.
But all the time, I was thinking "I cant stand this person who killed Joel"

But all the time, I was thinking "I cant stand this person who killed Joel" I 100 percent agree {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} The game play itself is overall great. The story is very dreary and never lets up. They had a tough task making people feel any sympathy for Abby after she killed Joel. It worked In some parts but otherwise it went left
