Under 13 minutes of screen time for the infected the entire season. That sucks, man.

Well..... {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} They actually kept it the same. A little surprised but not really
The Ellie survivors guilt is in full force
I was sort of looking for Abby but didn't see her. Tho this def looks like it is setting up Part II to sort of play out the same

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I don't know if I was expecting big changes necessarily but a beat by beat to the game's ending is prolly the right choice. That said I am NOT looking forward to S2 that is going to wreck me all over again. If they can like ease up a little on S2 that's all I ask LOL minor TLOU 2 thing: {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}the museum episode will be fun at least

Not mad at it as that is a big part of the game
Part II is going to be super f***ed tho. Since it is expected to be 2 seasons, I wonder how they lighten the load on that. But it is going to be dark, no way they can avoid that
For the people that wanted more violence and infected, they will get it

God. Ok. Well...
That was intense. I was going in circles a little about what they'd do, but I guess I accept this and trust in them to know where they're going to go with it in season two.

Damn, I hate overthinking things lmao {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} It was always going to be a grey issue as no one is really right nor wrong
There was no guarantee that killing Ellie would actually bring in a cure but Joel eliminated that option. Meanwhile, Abby is a child holding a grudge to Joel for that action because by all accounts her father was innocent
Most people in Joel situation who lost a daughter and now about to lose his adopted one would probably did the same thing 95/100 times. Going to be interested to see how they start S2. I don't expect that scene for maybe 2 episodes since Part II is 2 seasons

Everyone always knew besides the story, the music really sold the game. Really shows you how damn good the music was in the game that it still resonates the same in live action

Also for the TV only watchers, if you haven't known there will be a Part II
They said before they expect Part II to last over 2 seasons (which I sort of expected Part 1 to do but overall I had no problem with the pacing)
Part III for the game has been talked about and something I can see happening in the next 2-3 years before the TV show finishes catching up.

This show was fine. Predictably, episode 3 was simply the best effort of the show, and I wish the show as a whole took more chances like that episode did. Most times it felt like watching a slightly sleepy cover version of the video game, even if, moment to moment, there were little changes I liked. But I think the video game, as a video game, did a better job with the storytelling and the time spent with characters than the show, as a TV show, ever did.
Still excited for Season 2 to see how the more controversial elements of that game get remade into a TV show.

The finale was ok. The moral dilemma aspect just fell kinda flat. Becausee, for Joel, there is no dilemma. Once he realizes what’s happening, there’s no doubt what he will do. It’s probably something that works better in the game, when you’re controlling the action and aren’t just a passive viewer. The final scan does introduce an interesting wrinkle for season , though. Because Ellie knows Joel is lying. And it’s a big lie. Will she be ok with the lie or has Joel shattered the trust that they’d built?

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}By the by Laura Bailey was one of the nurses that Joel threatened in this episode. Found that interesting, since we were just talking about her on here a couple pages ago. Glad she's comfortable enough to still be part of things despite the reaction she received after the second game.

It’s the same ending as the game which I have no problem with but considering the next material I somewhat expected changes I think something like Ellie being told this was happening to her and her accepting it would had played big and made Joel decision a lot more selfish and questionable.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}By the by Laura Bailey was one of the nurses that Joel threatened in this episode. Found that interesting, since we were just talking about her on here a couple pages ago. Glad she's comfortable enough to still be part of things despite the reaction she received after the second game. A lot of what of she went through was undeserved. Then you also have pictures and videos where it shows that she and Ashley Johnson are friends. Hell, she has a long history with Troy Baker. But a lot of people are crazy and stupid. There's no sugarcoating it here. It's a fact.
Anyway, like my other parts, here is my take on Episode 9. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}It was interesting to see Ashley Johnson at the start as Ellie's mother. I had read that she would appear. I know she has come a long, and I mean long way since being Chrissy on "Growing Pains." Hell, I still remember her on that short-lived early-to-mid-1990s sitcom called "Phenom." So her performance was great in the scene she was in.
As for everything else, being that I have played the game, I knew what was going to happen. The whole setup was fine. We didn't need to spend a half a hour watching Joel and Ellie walking down the highway, swimming across a flood, and coming across infected, such as clickers and bloaters, in an underpass. We didn't need that.
With that being said, I knew how it was going to go down. However, the writing and the acting made it feel like maybe Joel wasn't the bad guy here. I know it was like that in the game, but I have to give the actors credit for their performances to line up with the writing. If you watch the mini-doc on this episode, it gets kind of emotional, especially with Marlene's actress.
I would have liked for an Abby appearance. I mean we had Dina make a small cameo. Oh well. Now we have to see when Season 2 will come. It could be next year or it could be in two years. All I know is that I am looking forward to it, even though a lot of other fans will be livid if it will follow Part II, but I have defended that game and believe it's still a good game and the story is dark, which was the point.

For part 2, was there a time jump from when part 1 ended?
