Who changed the topic to debacle. The only debaclewas social media blowing it out of proportion, I hate what WWE does but I cant blame them for this I did and yes, I can blame WWE for it. Doing nothing to clear up speculation that something was majorly wrong with one of their talent who has known health issues and fueling that speculation with a stretcher job that will likely not even get brought up on NXT next week is deserving of quite a bit of scorn. I highly disagree with your take but I understand

Stupid WWE just needs to put a disclaimer reminding everyone that everything that happens on and around their programming wether watching live or on TV is just as fake as watching an episode of Game of Thrones. Problem solved. I mean, in that scenario, for that to happen they’d have to be self aware about how dumb work shoot angles have been for the decades they have used them (even Austin/McMahon to some extent since that did come from the Montreal Screwjob) and for it to not be used as a storytelling device anymore so I can’t really see that happening. Like, we’re talking about a philosophical shift in terms of what the company thinks it is so (and I should note not sure if you’re joking so disregard this if you are) I just can’t see it happening that way. Yeah, tongue firmly planted in cheek for that post. My thoughts 100% agree/echo with what Captain Stud Muffin (BLM) said a few posts back.

Did people freak out like this when Bray Wyatt was burned alive and they never stated that Randy Orton isn’t in fact a murderer?

I can't believe this one wasn't WWE's fault!
That almost NEVER happens!
I'm not even being sarcastic, they cannot read a room at all, ever

Eh, the only thing I think they did wrong was the seizure stuff. If it had just been a simple stretcher job, I don't think there would have as much worry for him. I get that was the idea, but seizures are a bit more "real" if that makes sense. People see seizure and it feels like it's more than an angle. Again, I can admit that adds drama to the angle all the more, but I can see why people would be worried. Not saying WWE is necessarily in the wrong here, just maybe should have rethought how it'd be perceived is all. But he didn't even pretend to have a seizure?

I think people's knowledge about Kyle O'Reilly's real life medical history created an unconscious bias in how this was seen by some fans. Anyone who didn't know about his diabetes beforehand would see that as a regular stretcher job. It'd be completely kayfabe without worrying about seizures or other complications from diabetes.
Maybe WWE should be more cognizant about doing these sorts of things with Kyle in the future. But they aren't responsible for some fans' imaginations running away from them either.

Originally was concerned due to Kyle having diabetes. Seeing what happened just seems like a misunderstanding where people got worked when there was no work. NXT tends to do stretcher jobs for social media whenever they do one
