And, yes, sadly I must say Jericho has looked bloated and red-faced in recent months. His hair also has lost its luster. Pro Wrestling is a cosmetic sport appearance matters. The last few times I've seen him he's reminded me a little of when Flair transitioned from looking like Ric Flair to the Paid Ric Flair Impersonator he's looked like since 2003.

The highest quarter of Dynamite was the IC promo and start of Deeb/Riho. The dude is still a certified draw. He is in no way a detriment. Even his off screen stuff is way overblown. I don’t agree with the guy on anything politically but people who tune into Dynamite don’t care. It’s like 5k people on the internet who do. Plus, if his off screen stuff was really so influential, what about him donating thousands of dollars to random gofundmes? Does that not count?
He definitely elevated OC to be someone that casual fans now recognize. That feud in general basically got my girlfriend to care about wrestling for the first time in her life.
There are a number of tangible reasons that show Jericho is still a plus for AEW. There is no real facts or figures that prove he is a detriment.

He's been a massive plus overall but it's been diminishing returns lately. Whenever the current angle is over he needs a rest.
Part of the appeal of aew is the creative freedom but I still think he and MJF need reigning in a bit, the length of some segments in particular.
Outside the ring he's an idiot but really so is a lot of essential wrestling in a pandemic.

I still enjoy him more than any of the "Main Event" tier guys bar Mox and Hangman, so he's still a benefit to me.

He’s certainly living the rockstar Vince Neil life when it comes to his looks

I think he stays a benefit so long as the irl stuff doesn’t go so far that it becomes a massive PR headache.

My concern with Jericho is the longer he's around being a manchild, the more likely it is he becomes a Ric Flair/Michael Hayes type influence on younger talent, that veteran party guy who pressures younger talent into opening the door for personal demons to come out to play.

His wife took it too far. And he's a covidiot as well. And he looks like an old Vince Neil as a youngster.

I think he stays a benefit so long as the irl stuff doesn’t go so far that it becomes a massive PR headache. In truth, his outside AEW stuff doesn't seem to be a PR issue for very long. Either from people just shrugging their shoulders at it or because Jericho has a gift at finding something to do on TV that gets people praising him again and forgetting why they were mad in the first place. Now will that last? Who knows. Kind of depends on what stupid thing he says next ends up being.

I think he's still a benefit because he gets the slightly older viewer to look up AEW, he can still cut a good promo and is pretty good in the ring. All of these have diminishing returns but so far AEW has done a pretty good job with him overall

He still has use for the promotion, but if they parted ways tomorrow he would have fulfilled his purpose. He has elevated some young stars and lent prestige to their title as the first champion. That’s what he was intended to do.

I mean isn't Shida literally directing/producing the Japan side of the Women's Tournament right now? I'm pretty sure they trust her a lot.

Jericho was one of the main reasons AEW was a success that should be a feather in his cap. Im not that excited to see him anymore though after the OC feud, I haven't been a fan of the MJF stuff and his IRL stuff is starting to make me resent him and his wife
