If you dont usually watch the smaller shows watch the costume change main event of the latest. Kamiyu as Mahiro is one of the finest impersonations I've ever seen, she's more like Mahiro than Mahiro herself is, it was hilarious. Lots of other funny and/or clever moments too.
Plus Pom is gorgeous when dressing up as someone else, her gimmick usually blunts her beauty.

TJPW doing a trios tournament is really appreciated, because I love story-focused trios matches.
Also, I forgot that Ryo Mizunami was wrestling tonight and popped hard for her music.

Geez, if Arisu Endo keeps getting better at this rate, she might move from my sentimental favorite to my outright favorite in the promotion. I loved how she busted out a series of unexpected nukes to stay competitive with Miu.

Mizuki vs. Sawyer Wreck is like. The best possible use of a green hoss in a title match. Every single one of Mizuki's spots was more exciting for being done against someone of Sawyer's size.
(And whattya know, it's cooler because it's so rare.)

Sawyer is perfect for Japan. She can do big, tall gaijin hoss things and they’re eating it up. Good on her.

TJPW always brings out that little bit extra or different out of guests, Sawyer was no different, mostly due her being able to take advantage of the height difference. Winning the deathmatch made her an even better monster for Mizuki.
It was interesting Hikari Noa is so light she didn't always break the lightubes she crashed into. She did well though and I'm glad she got her deathmatch wish.
As always Miu Watanabe was the other highlight, along with Arisu Endo of course, get the feeling they'll have many big ppv matches in years to come (if they stay).

That's going to create quite the power vacuum. I am glad it's not abrupt and she can tie up loose ends in TJPW, but I have to imagine the next step is probably AEW, right? I mean, maybe she'll wind up elsewhere, but AEW have tended to book her pretty strongly, so that's kind of a safe bet.

Wtf Yuka?! To me Yuka is synonymous with TJPW and easily my favourite of the pillars. Largely because MagiRabi are so good, how can she leave Mizuki?
On the flip side she's done everything twice and her increasingly frequent no-selling made me like her less. Maybe it is time.

While I'm happy at the possibility of Yuka being All Elite, it's gonna be strange seeing TJPW without her. She IS Toyko Joshi Pro Wrestling.

Yeah I would imagine this makes her full time AEW soon, and she should be, she's amazing, and immediately would be one of the top workers there.
If they didn't have an answer yet for taking the TBS Title off Jade, I give you a really great idea lol

I would imagine AEW/ROH as main stuff, but maybe things like DPW if allowed.
Interestingly enough, she says if she returns to Japan after she doesn't want to wrestle in a joshi ring. That means stuff like DDT, and maybe even NOAH if they keep putting on women's matches.

Yeah that really makes sense and it makes a lot of TJPW's recent moves click into place. I've been thinking that MagiRabi were at the end of the typical lifespan for a puro tag team, so it seemed odd to give them another run, but it makes perfect sense if this is the last chance to do anything with the team. It also makes sense with how the past five months have seen an entire new bottom tier of wrestlers added to the promotion to sort of bump everyone else up by default.
And in my perception, the timeline should work for Miu and Suzume to move up into the vacuum if both keep on their current trajectories.

With Yuka leaving, and Miyu and Maki doing frequent excursions, Miu, Suzume, and Arai need to be pushed hard. I’d say the same for Noa while Endo and Himawari get more seasoning.

Bit of a shame that the excursions seem to be largely for the wrestlers who are maybe on their way out, because otherwise I'd hope to see Suzume and Endo pop up in some places to get their names out there more. Going to call my shot: Suzume wins the International Princess title off a gaijin who beats Tatsumi for it.

Saki Akai is retiring. You'd assume this may affect Sakisama as well.

Saki Akai is retiring. You'd assume this may affect Sakisama as well. I hope that she's doing so of her own free will and not due to injury. I know she's been at it for a bit now, so maybe it's getting to be time. Not everyone's like Emi Sakura or Aja Kong and in it for decades and decades.

It sounds like she's leaving so she can get out without having suffered any injuries (she said "I want to go off as a graceful flower, not as a wilted one."), and that her 10th year is just a nice number to stop while she's still healthy. She does a lot of modeling and non-wrestling work, so I imagine she is going to focus on that. She still might be around DDT in a non-wrestling role, though.

Damn, would assume this prompts Sakisama to retire, seeing her and that goblin maid sold me on tjpw. Hope she gets a good send off.
Anyway on topic Saki is great too, won't be as missed in tjpw as in DDT though. One of those that may not be at the top of my favourite lists but always adds to whatever she's doing especially in a stable/team. I guess her recent tag reign works as her last tjpw run, putting over Arai and her special 10 year matches are her farewell tour.
