-Roman and co. injure Kofi -Steals Xavier's KOTR crown a month after he won it -Destroys said crown in front of him to prove better than a dumb crown -Big E vows to avenge his closest friends -Big E loses cleanly
This is sane booking.

Roman Reigns spends the entire match telling Big E he doesn't belong and then proves it by winning clean when people were expecting it to keep on building.

At this rate, him being tied up in the ring and dumped in dog food again isn't gonna be sufficient enough comeuppance.

I just have no idea who they could be building up to beat Roman that makes it worth it to have him destroy this much of the roster in the process. That next top babyface just isn't there right now and if they actually are, I don't trust WWE to get them ready for this.

Honestly I think Roman's going to beat Rock then have a half-assed face turn and we're going to accomplish having elevated absolutely f***ing nobody.

I have the worst feeling in the world this is all gonna amount to nothing. It's all built around making Roman look unbeatable and it almost feels like it's gonna end that way even when he loses the belt
This shit sucks. Roman as a character is cool but I'm just tired of him and this booking. It's getting unwatchable because it's the same shit every week and there is no end in sight whatsoever...

Correlating "losing clean" with "being destroyed" doesn't really help the argument for there to be MORE clean losses in WWE.

Big E losing clean tonight was just the period on the sentence of the last few months ever since they rushed Roman to Raw to beat Lashley and Big E in the same night, then later in the night had him beat New Day too. Then he crushed Kofi and took all the air out of the good vibes of Xavier's KOTR win for no reason. Reacting badly to a year+ of a heel running roughshod is not the fault of FAN

And whenever the whole build is the heel going, "You do not belong here and you are not at my level," and then the face loses cleanly and decisively then yeah, they got destroyed. The actual match doesn't matter, the storyline surrounding it's already cemented they're a f***ing loser. And Roman's done this storyline like eight times in the past year.

Yep, they're definitely doing that Rock match. I don't think Reigns is losing anytime before then so hopefully it's soon. If not then it's going to be a lot of this stuff from this point on. Yall thought it was bad when he didn't have an opponent. Well, now we know Rock is coming so good luck on beating him before then. He's getting into that "see this is the most dangerous Reigns ever" mode.

Everyone is waiting for Roman to get his. It was mentioned above, he’ll probably turn face and never pay for any of this. He’s THE GUY

Is there any babyface remotely even close to being built up to beat Roman? Like at all? I mean when you’ve beaten Drew, Bryan, Edge, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Rey Mysterio, Demon Finn Balor, the current WWE Champ Big E.
Big E, in my opinion, was the closet thing to Adam Page they had, he should have been the one to finally beat him. Instead, they ship him off to Raw and win in a lame cash in.

Yeah and watch, we know how this will go. Roman will be running through dudes and then near the time of Rock's return (or before the match) he's gonna go super heel and abandon the Usos to show he doesn't need them. He'll beat somebody without them and they'll say they've never seen him this dominant. Next thing you know, he faces Rock and loses. It's always like this.

Correlating "losing clean" with "being destroyed" doesn't really help the argument for there to be MORE clean losses in WWE. I more meant the overall fact that he lays out dudes on a weekly basis but fair enough. I get it, man. I barely watch the weekly stuff as it is nowadays. But I'm just trying to see it from a very analytical perspective. Let me put it this way... The question you have to ask to start with is "WHY do WWE feel like they need to protect specific talents from taking clean losses?". Because clean losses hurt a talent's credibility in the eyes of the fans, right? Fans want to support winners, especially in a sport where someone can arbitrarily choose the winner. But apparently, doing as such creates a glorified caste system, so that anyone who actually DOES lose clean is seen as lesser than thou and not worth anyone's time, thus directly creating the very type of damaging aura that a protected or dirty result is meant to diminish. It's a self-fulfilling cycle in WWE. Now is "OK, make EVERYONE lose clean when they must lose" the solution? It may be. Most wrestling promotions, AEW in particular, seem to make an active point of not having dirty finishes, and it doesn't hurt the credibility their talents one bit. Maybe the actual losing clean isn't the problem in itself, but a symptom. Maybe the issue isn't Reigns winning all the time, maybe it is challenger after challenger not learning from the mistakes of others before them thus requiring Reigns to take a different approach to get the win, maybe it is that any and all character development for Reigns has stalled out since January, maybe it is that it represents a near two-year holding pattern of an entire weekly brand, and arguably the whole promotion, just for a match we may just finally be starting to see crystallised into formation, one that most fans here aren't necessarily thrilled about. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

For me, the issue isn't so much Roman always being on top all the time (though it is connected), it's just WWE's weird resistance to sending people home happy. They're too addicted to the heat, as it were.
