Word going around the main event for NWA 73 is Aldis vs. Murdoch title vs. career..

My NWA on fite membership lapsed. I'm not reordering it until this championship series stuff is over. I hope they are able to put two decent ppvs together later this month, but Powerrr has been almost unwatchable for a month or two.

Yeah, almost 1,000 for the NWA in 2021 is pretty great. I honestly hope Murdoch wins. I always thought he got a raw deal in WWE, and I'm so done with Aldis as champ.

NWA 73 sold out is awesome.. Shows that St. Louis was ready for them and supported the shows. Empowered not far behind for selling out!! Glad I got my tickets. I hope for an awesome show.

Excited to see Kamille vs Hirsh at Empowerr. Hirsh is one of my favorites in wrestling right now and it'll be cool to see them live.

Might as well throw the belt to the trash can.

Might as well throw the belt to the trash can. Even Austin Idol looks uncomfortable.

Chance that Pope's contract is up and he's leaving?

Imagine if they have to declare the 73rd anniversary show is no longer sold out after this choice causes a tidal wave of refunds.
This would be a much bigger story had the massive run of releases not also happened tonight. The audacity of promoting an all-women's show the very same month you put a championship on someone who was fired from the first season of GLOW for sending his co-workers dick pics, then repeatedly shuffled around Fox News for sending his coworkers dick pics.
William S Pumpkins must desperately not want any good will toward his company whatsoever.

Pope’s team is in the final of the Championship Series this week. So he can win a world title shot that way. This closes the door of Pope’s seven tv title wins getting a world title shot. I actually enjoyed this match up as it had big stakes for both guys. Now that Pope is now titleless it gives bigger meaning to the champion series final.
Pope vs. Aldis at 73 is a much better and bigger match than running Murdoch vs. Aldis even if Murdoch puts his career on the line. I don’t see the guy a lead babyface and Pope is a much bigger star. Either way I don’t see Aldis leaving 73 as champ.

Putting a belt on Tyrus is fascinating because even if he wasn't a giant pile of shit as a person still no one would want a title on him because he also completely sucks.

I just don't get the obsession with the booking of late 2000s-mid 2010s WWE guys, surely it's better to get a talent like Suge D, Andrew Everett or Mance Warner and push them rather than the fat guy who danced on WWE

It's booking like this which I feel is going to make it hard for the NWA to be seen on the same level as Impact and ROH anymore in terms of gaining fans.

I can't help but wonder if the reason the NWA gets more buzz for its women's wrestling is because Corgan doesn't have a stupid, nostalgic vision that he's imposing on it.
Tyrus as a champion in 2021 is hard to read as anything but a statement of "Screw you, political correctness! Wrestling is for REAL MEN who are huge, slow in the ring, and serial harassers outside of the ring!"
Like, damn. I stopped myself from posting about my discomfort with how often the phrase "real men" was used in the first few Powerrr episodes, but that discomfort has gotten more and more validated as time has gone on.

Ricky Starks was getting over and so was Zicky Dice. So Aldis big leagued them and made their time there miserable.
