I can't help but wonder if the reason the NWA gets more buzz for its women's wrestling is because Corgan doesn't have a stupid, nostalgic vision that he's imposing on it. Tyrus as a champion in 2021 is hard to read as anything but a statement of "Screw you, political correctness! Wrestling is for REAL MEN who are huge, slow in the ring, and serial harassers outside of the ring!" Like, damn. I stopped myself from posting about my discomfort with how often the phrase "real men" was used in the first few Powerrr episodes, but that discomfort has gotten more and more validated as time has gone on. This is among the reasons I will buy Empowerrr and nothing else. That real men shit put me off something fierce.

Awesome for her, she tweeted about gearing up for a comeback and showed off a lot of weight-lifting videos. If Debbie is half the worker she was, she'll be a hell of an addition to any roster.

Man it's pretty nuts that she's making a return in TYOOL 2021. She was always one of the big what ifs, retired young and was a pretty talented shooter.

Its weird that one sold out and the other didn't. If I lived in or was gonna be in the area, I'd just go to both. Also, if someone is going to pick just one, I'm surprised Empowerrr didn't win out. Its getting build on like every non-WWE wrestling show and is more of a special event.

I just don't get the obsession with the booking of late 2000s-mid 2010s WWE guys, surely it's better to get a talent like Suge D, Andrew Everett or Mance Warner and push them rather than the fat guy who danced on WWE Aldis chased a lot of them off. Ricky Starks was getting over and so was Zicky Dice. So Aldis big leagued them and made their time there miserable. What did Aldis do exactly? Not heard this before.

Once again NWA is promoting something but not explaining what it is…
What the heck is the innovational cup?

I have a very easy time believing Aldis is a huge asshole because it's the only real explanation for why no company that, like, matters seems remotely willing to take a chance on him.

It seems that way, no company aside from The NWA has ever shown any interest in him. Even Cody didn't want to take a chance with him.

I’ve bored enough to watch Powerrr before NXT…
NWA screwed up and for some reason tonight’s power isn’t debuting on Fite until tomorrow.

It seems that way, no company aside from The NWA has ever shown any interest in him. Even Cody didn't want to take a chance with him. At least by Aldis's telling, he wanted a contract that'd let him work both AEW and NWA shows, and AEW didn't feel like they wanted that. Which at the time made sense. But now looking at it again all this time removed, with NWA and AEW working together in some capacity or another, on top of all the indie dates people take on and the work with other promotions, it feels way more like they were initially disinterested and found his attempt to bargain to work both as a good way to stifle that quickly. Something has to be up there beyond Cody just figuring he could con Aldis and Corgan into letting him have his vanity run with the NWA title. The degree to which they haven't wanted anything to do with him since is way too suspicious. Cody dropped the title back and that was the last word. Something's got to be up.
