Rich Swann is the biggest punk ass bitch in all of wrestling. I mean even his own friends in Impact thought he had no chance. You almost wonder why they bothered to even put the belt on him instead of Moose. Moose's future with the company being in doubt is the reason why. Don't want to put the top belt on the guy if he's got one foot out the door, especially after what happened with Tessa Blanchard pulling the shit she did.

Which is what that match ultimately ended up becoming.

They put up the entire pre-show match, Kimber Lee & Susan vs. Rosemary & Havok!

The AEW Crossbrand has given Impact some of its highest ratings and PPV Buyrates in almost a decade, pending Rebellion we'll have to see, but Omega appearing on their show by himself has given Impact a lot, when he wrestles, people are paying attention. I find it hard to say the AEW Crossbrand has hurt them at all in that sense. But how much of that is actually translating in the long run though? It doesn't seem like Impact is really seeing any gains when Kenny isn't around. It kind of just feels like how eventually ROH reached a point where people only cared about their shows when it came to the NJPW stuff on them. Thats the difference. ROH gave so much time and booking to NJPW and the Elite, then the Elite left and the New Japan stuff was put on hold. Then of course all around the same time, they lost key talent to NXT, not strikering when the iron was hot with others, and of course crap with Marty, the women's division, and Bubba Ray. They had to pretty much rebuild after all that. Check out tonight's ROH show on Fite it's great, but they aren't where they once were. Kenny could drop the title at the next set of tapings, and Impact will still be doing their thing. Being the real NXT of the wrestling world, where new talent finds themselves, and old talent can repackage themselves, if they go on to greener pastors, Impact will fill the roster again with new and old talent. It keeps things fresh. They might never be one or two, but they will be the best damn number 3 wrestling promotion you ever see.

welp if you're gonna change a title like that, might as well be in one of THE matches of the year so far! truly EPIC truly HORRIFIC with those v-triggers, and the two times both almost came undone and TRULY a champion who is sweeping the second level titles up! as for the rest of the card, again impact really knock it out the park, not one bad match AND new x-division champ and knockouts tag champs even tenille put up a hell of a fight and came so close to winning! AND THEN THERE'S BIG CASS RETURNING! or should i call him the BIG WM? well will you look at that ... W and M ... hehe

ROH got so dependent on their relationships with New Japan and Bullet Club/The Elite that when the latter left and the pandemic made international travel near-impossible, it really hurt their product on top of a lot of their own created crises. They put all their eggs in the Bullet Club basket and it backfired on them hard. With Impact, Kenny Omega might be their world champion, but the entire company isn't built aorund him. His posse on Thursday nights is all Impact guys in Callis and the Good Brothers. He and FinJuice are being treated like special guests as opposed to revolving the entire company's future on them. And when Omega leaves, they still have a really nice roster to build angles and shows around.

I find it hard to say the AEW Crossbrand has hurt them at all in that sense. Them losing talent and not really finding good replacements isn't on AEW it's just how things have unfortunately fallen for them. I especially feel for their women's division which went from arguably being the best women's division in wrestling to losing a ton of key talents and about to lose further ones in Grace's case. Deonna's pretty much gone on record saying she might not re-up either. Grace could re-sign, & I've never seen Deonna say that. Told ya!
