He's also got a podcast about his love of film. I might have to check that out.

Not to stick up for The Virk too much lol but man "I'm not watching but it sounds like it's going as bad as I thought it would, they are overpaying him (I don't know if they are, they must be)" is some 2010 Smackdown spoiler report "I flipped off Dolph Ziggler" guy tier smarking.

I haven't seen a second of the guy and have no opinion of him, but the, "Oh, I assume he sucks and they're overpaying him even though I don't know how much they're paying him," thing really Virks me.

Was he a fan of the product before joining or is this just an announcing/talent gig for him? Someone like Pat McAfee probably watches all the wrestling on TV every week if he isn’t directly involved with NXT, so he can actually sit down in the chair and make it happen. Virk reminds me of both Adamle and Coach and not in a good way.

This, mixed with your current signature, made me chuckle.

He's inoffensive in a "I can ignore him well enough" kind of way, because commentary id usually just background noise for me anyway unless it's Joe or someone who amuses me. Unfortunately it means there isn't much to stop Byron and Corey from bickering.

He's also got a podcast about his love of film. I might have to check that out. Cinephile is a good listen. He really knows his stuff about movies.
My favorite recurring bit with him was when he'd find ways to sneak on the Dan LeBatard Show to wax poetic about film or sports to piss Dan off and get him to yell "GET HIM OUTTA HERE!"
Also, if the Pirate Ship ever used this connection to get Stugotz on as a guest commentator for Raw or Smackdown, that would get me to watch WWE again.

I can’t believe they hire this guy. Have they not heard about QAdnan?

I still don't know where he was going with that excellence of execution line...Starting to feel bad for the guy he is way out of his element even if he is a fan. He does not have natural reactions to logical progressions in matches that most fans spot instantly so it's hard to relate to the boyish wonder. It's fun for a second but if he is douted as a sports broadcaster I expect them to know the games rules and yes the plays.

I'll give him one more week, but... he hasn't made an impression on me, and that's probably not a good thing. He's inoffensive in a "I can ignore him well enough" kind of way, because commentary id usually just background noise for me anyway unless it's Joe or someone who amuses me. Unfortunately it means there isn't much to stop Byron and Corey from bickering. oh god Byron and Corey are on the same show again

He's just resting on his laurels after revolutionising music during his time in Kraftvirk.

Virk joked about making the rookie mistake of leaving his phone on the announce table during Monday's show and it getting shattered during the main event during a spot through the table. Ooof.... hope he had AppleCare (or the Android equivalent)!!! LOL

He's not that bad. Inoffensive and forgettable, but that makes him better than hundreds of WWE commentators over the years. Nothing so far to mark against him in my book.

This isn’t for him...maybe a backstage interviewer role but as the main play by play guy you have to be in control and have some type of command...good or bad. He’s just another voice to sometimes talk. He reminds me of a slightly better Mike Adamle.
I don’t see why they don’t go after some of these commentators from the Indy’s. I can’t think of anyone of my head but I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos and some of these commentators are pretty good and sound legit! It seems like whenever they try to take a “well known sports anchor” and try to turn them into a wrestling commentator..always back files!

I have nothing to say about him after two weeks. Nothing good. Nothing bad. Much like RAW he just exists. Compared to Michael Cole who’s usually actively bad, I’ll take the boring bland and inoffensive. *that said, do I wish commentary would be GOOD? Why yes. Yes I do. But I know what I’m getting from this company. 😂

I thought he’s been doing a fine job, so far. I mean the guy is 2 shows into his wrestling broadcasting career and he’s already well ahead of many current commentators in the business, IMO.

I don’t know Adnan personally, but I know a lot of people who do and they all think this is hilarious because not one of them has ever heard him even talk about wrestling before.

He’s said that he started studying/watching religiously in January in preparation for trying out for the job. He definitely has a lot of the lingo/nicknames/move names down already.
