At some point, some wrestling fans started projecting their own personal dislike, the simple âMy favourite wrestler didnât win tonightâ, and not only started taking that booking move as a personal disrespect to them, but also projected that disrespect onto the talent as though theyâre supposed to feel the same way. And ever since, itâs been impossible to book a wrestling show because every f***er has stans that believe that their fave has to always win and always has got to get their shit in because ThEy DeSeRvE iT or else the evil booker man hates them/me. If Morgan actually WAS getting the title shot, weâd be hearing from the Lynch stans about why one of the actual top stars of the division is missing out after one of the best in-ring years of her career, âWhY dO tHeY hAtE hEr???â. You may be happy, but someone else isnât, so the noise remains the same and it NEVER STOPS. Combine that with the pedestal escalation or âOnly the main event is importantâ and âOnly WrestleMania is importantâ, and you end up with this ridiculous situation where anything less than being in the most important match or the year is the same thing as being seen as a stepped-in dog shit. This NEVER used to be an issue, so what the f*** changed? I think there is just so much more wrestling content now than before (WWE branded and social media) that it leads to people feeling more connected to wrestlers. Like where will a Charlie Haas fan in 2004 go to voice their disapproval and a sense of community with other Haas marks? Now you get to learn so much about a performer through their social media and what other fans post of them in their community that it becomes part of their identity to be a fan of a certain wrestler. So when that performer doesn't get booked "right" then it hurts a lot more and that explains the backlash that some fans present. I am not saying people getting more invested in wrestling character as people is a bad thing (does lead to more business for WWE/AEW etc) but the downside is when those fans don't see their favorites win, they get angrier (at both the bookers and the people being their favorites) I was a proud Renee Dupree stan in my 12s!  All of those glitter filled signatures in his fan forum... Oh boy.  |

I have to believe it was botched. If Liv taps out at three, she survived. But by tapping a second early, it made her look like she got preferential treatment. |

I like Liv Morgan. She's kind of the company's backup plan like Edge was back in the day. If somebody were to get hurt or pregnant or unavailable for any reason, I think Liv is on the shortlist to be champion in emergency.
It's a good list to be on. I don't think they actively plan to put the belt on her, but they will book her strong enough so that should they need to put the belt on her, they can.
I think it'd be fun to see her win MITB.

This all felt like a big waste of time (that they could have used to build Becky vs. Rhea better) frankly.

they've been hinting at a possible multi-woman match with Becky/Rhea/Liv/Nia but squashed that tonight
Liv has nothing for Mania clearly, and I hope they truly just leave her off the card rather than pair her with some random woman in a BS tag-team match for shits and giggles
Hope they let her walk soon, would rather see her in AEW, her career is going nowhere with WWE
