They announced at the ROH show last night Death Before Dishonor would feature a match between two recently free agents. But they couldn’t say who do the contractual obligations.
I’m guessing one is Rust, ROH loves that guy.

In no other promotion in wrestling is it necessary for a talent to be heavily featured on TV every single week just for the sake of reassuring fans that they’re not one stroke of a pen away from unemployment. Only in WWE. No other promotion is run by an evil sundowning psychopath (and his personal buck-toothed Renfield) sending his hand-picked hatchet man out to fire everything that breathes if and when he crosses their path.

Khan also said in the interview that he, Vince, HHH and Stephanie are involved in deciding who gets cut. Which contradicts some reporting out there. Not to say who's right and who's wrong but I assume Nick wouldn't want to publicly admit cutting NXT talent without Hunter's knowledge. The former Ever Rise did not that that were working with people at NXT on creative ideas up to the moment they were cut so it wouldn't be abnormal for certain parties to be left out of the loop.

I wonder how much call Triple H could even have if Vince looks at someone in NXT and says 'I don't like him, cut him, he's not worth pushing'. The value Triple H sees in people doesn't really matter when all he's doing is prepping people for Vince Time.

Yes, Triple H is going to willingly cut guys he's using, trying to use, or could use if they were in NXT (Samoa Joe). Mr. Khan, you are a lying sack of shit and my absolute contempt of you grows by the second.

Rumblings of another purge on the way in NXT as they start to get rid of a lot of the older talent, so may need to watch this space soon.

Triple H fired Samoa Joe so that he could make room to hire Samoa Joe.

AEW/Impact/ROH/New Japan/NWA/GCW/MLW promotors and bookers on high alert once again so I don't know about MLW since they've had trouble running shows after the pandemic started (uploading re-runs of their Underground series on YouTube has been most of their content in the past year), but the other companies will certainly be on high alert.

Point well made (truthfully I don't keep up with MLW); I was just trying to highlight how many other avenues these new NXT cuts will have available to them.

Is there any credible reports of it being something that could literally happen today, or is it just the thing that Meltzer was talking about yesterday with there being a supposed cut list going around for when the NXT reboot happens?

Is there any credible reports of it being something that could literally happen today, or is it just the thing that Meltzer was talking about yesterday with there being a supposed cut list going around for when the NXT reboot happens? There is no credible source for it. Meltzer claimed he saw a list, but Andrew Zarian when asked about it yesterday during his podcast said he hasn't seen or heard of any such thing happening soon (he mentioned a couple of months ago that there might be another wave of cuts this year, but they aren't sure). Neither has PWInsider apparently. Does that mean there won't be more cuts eventually? Of course not. But Dave's track record when it comes to anything WWE related is incredibly terrible as of late (even below Rajah tier). The dude pretty much completely walked back his NXT "stories" in the latest newsletter and then reported a bunch of information that was reported by other sources (Fightful, PWInsider, Zarian) first.

There's an October 2nd event scheduled, but I can't find any other MLW events listed after that for the remainder of this year. The most recent show that aired with the return of fans was Battle Riot III. mlw.com/2021/08/06/october-2-philadelphia/The Dallas show, which was going to have War Chamber, got postponed to next year due to the COVID surge in Texas. officialfan.proboards.com/thread/587857/all-purpose-mlw-fusion-thread?page=32I did read about action figures coming in 2022, however. www.fightful.com/wrestling/mlw-action-figures-set-release-2022

It's Friday morning, you know what that means Tozawa's gonna be runner up in the Rumble! Because he'll be only man left on the roster you see, but still lose under WWE booking.

They are doing MLW fightland on October 2nd so I presume those will include taping some new episodes. And Azteca Underground is still as of now is taping on the 12th of this month in Tijuana.
