Take a day away from the forum, return, see another raft of mass releases.
I suspect there will be a few more of these days to come still. WWE was so bloated, it was bound to happen eventually, and the sad thing is, none of it matters. They already have a raft of people ready to come replace these, and even more behind that.
It's a total battery farm system. If you dont work out, you're gone, and they'll move someone up from the 5 people who want that spot. Rinse and repeat.

Of everyone released in the last few months, how many are regularly featured on tv every week? Are you kidding? Save for a small few, just about EVERYONE released were in the middle of active feuds on TV. Take your pick: Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, ALL of Hit Row, Aleister Black (weeks of promos leading to a single attack on Big E), even freaking Nia Jax could be argued as "regularly featured" up to her release. There is no justification on most releases, and featured use is not considered even a bit in this process. Again, NOBODY is safe, even Main Eventers. I don't watch WWE, it was a genuine question. I still see loads of people giving out that they still only use the same 20 or so wrestlers on each show every week. I assumed a lot of those released were just sitting around being wasted.

What sucks is that guys like Hit Row or Tegan never even had a chance to TRY and work out. I think Tegan and Shotzi had like two matches before Tegan just disappeared, and Hit Row had literally one jobber squash. They never had a fair chance at all. And that’s not even getting into Drake Maverick who they hired, fired, rehired, and fired..again.

If they can fast track enough NXT guys they'll keep the split but if they have more flame outs than hits it could easily end.

So why exactly did they call up Hit Row again?

So why exactly did they call up Hit Row again? Cause, Santos Escobar played the long game... In all reality someone probably said they were a hot act, they got to the main where old white guys, Vince and Prichard didn't get the gimmick at all...then to tip it off you had the leader as a guy who was a prominent indy star...then 3 people green as goose shit.

If I remember right, there was, but only about Bray, where Fox wasn't happy that WWE cut a dude who was part of the 'here's the stars your network gets' package. Fox apparently wasn't thrilled with Adam Cole not being resigned as they wanted him on Smackdown Yeah, firing Bray, not making an attempt at Punk and losing Cole in the span of like 4-6 weeks really pissed off Fox for a bit by all accounts, but it seems to be smoothed over now.

Come over here and look at this TV at a weird angle!" Week 2: "Hey you! I saw you look at that TV weird, but I wasn't entertained by you. Stay home for 90 days!"

I was perusing twitter and there's some serious spin going on there...
Basically saying that the talent portion of WWE was improperly managed for years and all of these releases are the current group trying to fix that issue...
The WWE currently has 217 wrestlers under contract and that's still to many.
It's weird how people will defend the WWE.

That's the part that always seems so easily swallowed in all this stuff; WWE has all the power and all the leverage to hold someone to extended contract terms just because, but WWE is under literally zero pressure to honour their own commitments and will fire someone they just signed to a new deal weeks earlier. They could let deals run out and see people off, they could maybe avoid signing people to new deals and especially not signing people to new deals weeks before they get canned. Are we supposed to believe WWE's talent budget was "Infinite, f*** it" for several years and somehow Vince didn't realize it? And that the only solution to that is to shed chunks of people with suspicious timing around quarterly reports? Childhood memories really make some people do crazy shit huh

For how many divisions WWE has 217 really isn't very much at all. Say you want six tag teams for each division that'd take up 60 people right there and that's not even counting NXT UK.

The last time there were a bunch of releases, there were social media Vincels actually laughing about the people who lost their jobs.
The lengths that some of these corporate marks will go to idolize Vince McMahon and defend or justify everything he or WWE does is practically inhuman.

Or this one a friend of mine told me while watching Full Gear at my house that AEW really should thank Vince for their company existing since every match features someone who worked for WWE.

Easy thing to do when you're a virtual monopoly. I always hated that argument for TNA, too. It's about who you have and how you use them. And no one was complaining about Christopher Daniels, Christian, and Kurt Angle.
