Johnny and Bruce only care if they want to have sex with her which usually means looking like something from the attitude era..Kevin Dunn will bury her for having an accent...
She's not that safe...Shotzi though is f***ed.

And I doubt they are going to axe Io considering if they do, the women's division in NXT is completely done. And it'll probably piss off the 4HW as well, as all but Becky (and its mainly because she hasn't been asked for her thoughts on Io) have put Io over massively as someone who should be a face of the women's division in all of WWE. It also helps that she's one of the few actual draws on the show. Becky and Sasha have both praised Regal a lot, and it didn't stop them getting rid of him
With Io, Vince and his cronies seemingly don't rate her, why else would she still be in developmental after 3 and a half years?? Many other women have been called up in that time or had try out matches before RAW/Smackdown, yet to see Vince show any interest in calling her up to the main roster.

This is WWE’s version of Order 66, Jesus. Homey in the thread of them (Vince & co) visiting the performance center, i posted the Anakin/Stormtrooper marching into the temple gif. I'm not making light of it, but given Hunter's health scare a while back... Vince really is cold blooded to basically gut his pride and joy like that I wonder if he's even going to return. Between the scare and getting to spend time with his family, does he have a desire to? Can he? Maybe they're flushing the system because he can't do there is no reason to keep his system in place. This is just gone to such an extreme I think there must be more behind it than meets the eye. I’m pretty sure he’s done as an active competitor. Maybe he comes back as a character. If I were to bet, I don’t think things between Vince & Hunter are that bad. Maybe he’s daring him to fly solo ala Shane but if I were to guess Vince never “got” the old NXT and see’s it as an extension of AEW and its appeal (workrate, Indy guys, etc) thus the swing into what “he does right”; athletes, hosses, “characters” etc etc. And as for Joe, damn, that video of him announcing he was out but was going to return to reclaim the NXT title didn’t age well. Wonder if he was even hurt.

The Horsewoman I'm really concerned about is Sasha; she definitely doesn't fit Vince and Ace's "type", and she's been on the injured list a number of times in the last few years, and we all know how being labeled "injury prone" is a death sentence. Either way, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see one or more of the Horsewomen gone by the end of the year. Another I'm concerned about is Finn Balor. He's another one the brass has probably labeled "injury prone", his first main event run was just snakebitten, and he's probably the most clear Triple H guy in the company that isn't in the Kliq. Not that he'd have any lack of prospects, whether that be joining the Elite in AEW or going back to the OG Bullet Club in NJPW, but his release would be the most clear "f*** Paul Levesque and everything he stands for" release possible. I really do feel like Finn leaving is a matter of when rather than if. I can't imagine he's happy to be jerked out of NXT pretty much entirely to go back to losing constantly and they basically don't even try to act like he's a big deal at this point. Remember how his looking like a compete doofus as The Demon was supposed to lead somewhere only for it to completely lead nowhere?

I wouldn't be shocked if she isn't being called up right now because she's literally the only woman in NXT who can make their greener talents look even halfway competent. Because otherwise the matches fall apart. Look at the women's triple threat match from this past week. It was a complete disaster. If they were to call her up now, the division would completely fall apart, and ratings would likely take a pretty massive hit. It's also worth noting that the talents all cut over the past couple of days were all coaches or producers for NXT. Burch and Thatcher haven't been on TV in ages and were taking a more behind the scenes role. Io isn't a coach, nor is she taking on a behind the scenes role. It also helps that USA Network / NBC Universal is incredibly fond of both Asuka and Io (both of them are utilized in ads on NBC for Asian Heritage Month). So either of them getting released would very likely piss off NBCU.

Nick Khan use to be an exec at ESPN...if you know anything about that company all of this makes way more sense.

I have come from the future and behold the new WWE after releasing everyone...and then got rid of the ring , and just stopped using any sort of building for shows.

Showerthought/prediction: They won't get rid of Shawn, but he will pack it in and go home when they let Carmelo flop on the main roster.

It's that but Nick Khan being there to pump the idea that talent doesn't matter is part of it too. Nick Khan showing Vince dollar signs is absolutely a big part of it. Them being fine with Khan ripping the company to shreds and encouraging Vince is probably a big part of why this new regime has so favorably gone their way. They aren't bringing anything of value to the table, but they're benefiting from being on the side of 'yeah make more money do this it'll be great' when Nick Khan's vision makes the on-screen product fundamentally worse and this is all setting them up for a long-term meltdown. www.pwinsider.com/article/154462/why-would-wwe-destroy-the-pc-from-within-was-this-revenge-on-hhh-letting-regal-go-firing-corino-and-more.htmlYeah, imagine if Khan does something that gets him on Vince's bad side. Then what do they have going for them?

Then what do they have going for them? I don't think its an "if" at this point. It's a matter of "when". George Barrios and Michelle Wilson were both highly respected and helped shape a lot of what made WWE successful today. And guess what? One bad quarter and they were out. I imagine Nick has a short leash in that regard as well. Eventually there's going to be a point where they legitimately can't cut any more people, and it'll be harder to turn a profit as a result. I mentioned it earlier, but Nick dissolved the jSports partnership in Japan for...no real reason, as far as I can tell. WWE is/was the third most popular promotion in Japan, only behind NJPW and STARDOM. And unless they announce something by the end of the month, WWE is about to be locked out of a major market. That won't sit well with stockholders or investors. And even when Nick is gone, the damage has already been done. It would take a monumental shift in the corporate culture before WWE would be able to entice a bunch of the people they cut back into the fold. Nick's idea is to bring people in from the NIL program, but he's already off to a bad start with their biggest signing so far, the Cavinder Twins, who have outright said they aren't actually interested in WWE or wrestling. They just want to be more popular. Dave talked about their remarks in a recent WOR, and said that from what he understands, they have zero actual interest in actually stepping into a ring, and no one except Nick and Vince actually expect them to sign, as they are fielding big money offers from various other partners and also the WNBA.

Barrios and Wilson literally got axed for suggesting that hoarding talent was bad for profits...then a few months later releases came. This current direction will last 5-7 years minimum.

Might be reading too much into it but is Adam Pearce on his way out as well? I don't think so. I think he's thanking the people who were released who also were the same ones who oversaw his tryout.

Might be reading too much into it but is Adam Pearce on his way out as well? Nah not not, can't say he won't be next week though given how things have been going. A lot of talent are saying things like this. The big question I have is where is Dakota.

I was listening to a podcast today and they said something telling “This feels like a coup… now this like they’re trying to prevent a coup” in regards to replacing everyone from the hhh era. Man, triple was grooming all these guys to replace Vince’s cronies and the minute he’s out of power, all of Vince’s people are put back or the people in line to replace them are axed. An 80 year old man refuses to admit having a succession plan is a good idea and actively shits in the guy that tried to make one...
