I came in to crack a joke but reading his statement, good for him. That injury sucks and if seeing it as a reason to get out to get out so he can spend a normal life with his family, good on him.
Heal up and enjoy life.

The x-ray he posted seems to indicate it's a pretty bad shoulder injury.
Thats sucks man, Lio is awesome.

He's doing it because of his family and the thought of not picking up his newborn son, he's doing it so he can be there with his loved ones, I respect it. Not even going to joke about it. That's an adult right there. Shoutout to you for all you've done Lio.

Only 26 years old, shock for it to end so young but I can understand.

I wish him a speedy recovery and for the next phase in his life to be a fruitful one if he's calling it a day here. That injury is gnarly and probably explains why he was in and out of the battle royale despite being the Joker, if it happened early into the match for him.

Threw me for a loop but, I’m all for it if he thinks it’s better for him and his family.
Enjoy your second life, Lio.

Could've been much bigger but happiness comes first.
Loved his run with Lashley.

He wants to be a good dad so I can't fault him for that. At 26 it's crazy but I guess an injury like that can make you rethink things
Surprised he doesn't want to do manager stuff but hey who knows what the future holds.

Urgh! He is 100% doing the right thing but I was excited to see him in AEW and New Japan. He's such a talent. Maybe in a few years his shoulder will feel better and he can return.

Out of nowhere, especially w/ the recent stuff, but absolutely the right decision, I think, especially if he can fall back on other things. Good decision.

I hope for the best for the guy. Guess we also don't have to wonder how Mark Henry and Lio would co-exist.

I was about to come in here and joke and say this is the 3rd or 5th time he said this shit but this comes from a mature standpoint and he is doing it for the family so I respect it and wish him the best

I don't mean to be cynical but I give it 6 months until he's wrestling again. The dude's a drama llama, always has been.

The wrestling business is hard on your body, hard on your mind, and hard on your family.
Good on the guys who realize that the toll it takes isn't working for them and it's time to move on. Monty Brown comes to mind as another. I'll miss him, but wish him the best all the same.

If he’s done, good luck to his future. If he isn’t actually, I look forward to reading up on his return (even if I’m not actively watching it). Dude’s talented as hell.
