Does anyone know what type of shape Punk is in? I remember for his UFC fights he was much skinnier than he had been in WWE. Wonder if he’s gained the mass back for pro wrestling. He might have, just to look the kind of size he was in 2013/4. It's amusing looking at him in ROH in 2005, where he was clearly trying to bulk up a bit (as much as a straight edge wrestler can), knowing he was about to sign with WWE. Coincidentally, WWE just uploaded the TLC match vs Jeff Hardy from Summerslam 2009, which Punk won. I feel like I'm reading too much into that.

Judging from Social media and pics of heels, he looks about at his average similarly to when he left WWE. Not slim like post-wwe and definitely not in his UFC lean toned physique. Pussyfooting aside I am curious how Punk does on Heels cause of the acting I’ve seen of him..it’s not good. The wrestling aspect of the show might make him shine though.

Punk can only say that about dives because Homicide's a bit older now and probably shouldn't do as many Tope Con Hilos.

I appreciated Punk pretending to look at papers when making up the whole Heels AMC Chicago screening story. As a fan of his for a long time, it's really cool to see him doing well and that his return is imminent. The early reports of him being in good shape are promising!

Age doesn't discriminate so he's probably slowed down a bit, but he's had years for his body to recover from the WWE grind, and mentally he's likely in a much better place. I think he's going to be a great addition.
Still seems surreal that we will see Punk and Danielson in AEW.

Thought about during mah work out that a Punk-Sting interaction is a near certainty upon his arrival. And I can’t wait.

Can’t think of why someone at WWE’s YouTube uploaded that today.

I suppose there's a chance that Punk would re-sign with WWE for a stupid amount of money and for a Goldberg schedule, but if he can work just one day a week on average and be happy with the creative while still making stupid money, then I'm guessing he's going to AEW.

Can’t think of why someone at WWE’s YouTube uploaded that today. They've been quietly uploading Punk videos for the last couple weeks. WWE's making that money off the catalog.

Didn’t realize, don’t follow their YouTube anymore but not much to read into they want to cross promote without admitting as much.

I can speak for myself that I've been searching for and re-watching clips of CM Punk in WWE for the last few weeks. I'm clearly not the only one if WWE is seeing profit in it.

Didn't they upload Nia squashing Britt either after her title win or her big match with Rosa? They know there is a buzz and people are searching Punk's name. Why not make some monetized YouTube bucks?

I feel like they are doing what most companies do. They either promote that they used to work there, or will just show off matches where they lost or hit their ass kicked to make it seem like they couldn’t make it in that company.
It reminds of when Hulk Hogan left WWF and went to WCW, then any footage or picture they’d show if the previous era would be of Hogan getting beaten up.

In Punk's latest Instagram story, he's posted about his farewell ROH match. He finished the text by saying "Nothing's over till you're underground." That's what Darby Allin's chest tattoo says.

Or they could be like when Moxley first signed in AEW and WWE posted a clip of the Shield's debut that omitted any mentions of "Dean Ambrose" and basically cropped him out.

He and Bryan were the only modern wrestlers of the last decade that kept me from leaving wrestling behind. So yeah, seeing this is starting to make it feel a little more real.

Could be reading too much into it, but sounds like he'd like to have a match with Adam Page sometime too.

Impact uploads matches of people from their past all the time the moment they catch fire somewhere else. It wouldn't shock me at all if WWE were doing the same thing.

I’ve been thinking all day bout Punk. Been following that man since the 2000s, was absolutely my guy, I (admittedly ridiculously) thought his wwe venture mirrored my own life in ways at times, he left in 2014, my life went to shit starting in 2014. Tried my best to come to peace the last few years he was never going to come back. I have absolutely no idea how I will feel & react to his return. But I can’t wait.
