Punk and Bryan being heavily rumored to sign with AEW at the same time is gonna give some wrestling fans a heart attack lmfao. If they both show up I don't think you can argue that they will move a needle at least SOMEWHAT compared to what AEW is already doing. One would arguably do it but both of them?? That's incredibly huge. Signing both of them at once would move the needle a large amount, in my opinion. I think they’d have a good shot at reaching 1.5 million viewers, if not more.

I believe there's something to the Danielson news (even though I'm not sure about the source). Lighter schedule/special attraction booking, similar pay, creative control, and working for multiple promotions in multiple countries like he's said he wanted to? Only difficulty would have to be saying goodbye to a company he's spent a good portion of his career with that's treated him good for the most part (bad booking when he was at his peak popularity not withstanding). The Punk news is a bit harder to believe since he's been out for so long, but a comeback helps him stay relevant and would be some good mainstream publicity for AEW, a good pay day for him, and helps legitimize a true WWE competitor which was a main gripe of his Once Upon A Pipe Bomb. Again I think it would be a special attraction type deal. Maybe he got word someone whose wrestling insight he trusts and respects was heading there and that put him more at ease to sign with them after reports a few months ago that he was unsure about Cody and the EVP crew. Interesting both these rumors leak out there on the same day. Biggest question if both rumors turn out to be true is would they debut together as an Outsiders/Invasion angle deal (maybe aligned with NJPW/Bullet Club) or are they better off doing their own thing? I think there's good arguments to be made in favor of both. I did ask earlier in this thread : If Bryan and Punk arrive together, then who will be the 3rd Man?

I know this probably means his match with Malakai Black... but he KNOWS what he's doing.

Might as well. Although I'm not gonna be majorly hyped, I'm curious as to what they'll do and how they'll be booked. I say treat em as the new "Outsiders" and have fun. I'm not really caring about new fans or what it'll mean for them to join, if they can pull something new off and are having fun joining them by all means let's do it. As long as they're happy.

If both were to appear in AEW, I guess they would probably be great signings (depending on the money, I guess). I'm all for Bryan in AEW, assuming he doesn't try to kill himself like half their roster seems to do once a month... He seems to have done all he can in WWE. But CM Punk? I'd probably stop watching AEW if he was a featured player. Not like they would care, for every one of me they would probably get like 2 or 3 (or maybe more!) viewers. haha.

If this is somehow true, watch his first feud be with f***ing Cody. So they’re just gonna swipe all of my booking ideas, huh?

“I want to do stuff that’s good. I want my name attached to quality projects, where it’s fun and it makes people laugh, smile, think and people don’t hate watching it. I want to do fun stuff.” So it wasn’t Dark Order that sent Cutler the letter at the end of this weeks BTE…. I’m on to your tricks, Punk!

I watch it every week if not next day or few days later but I will go out my way to be in the live thread watching for him

That’s where I’m at. I’m going to have to eat my irrational dislike of Cody and The Elite crew to watch my guys. I tried watching like a month or 6 weeks ago and stirred an issue when I asked if it was always this cringey. Looks like I gotta eat crow. Just curious was this during the Friday night shows? Or was this when Cody marked out and made his feud with Ogogo about Patriotism? I'm just going based on that time frame and the answer is usually not but those shows were also pretty nothing. Either way I'd encourage giving it another shot even if certain acts aren't your thing (I love AEW but acts like Kaz, Scorpio, Blade, Nyla are all lost on me) Anyways as for the rumors. There are reports Danielson will debut st the Queens show. I always figures AEW would be much more attractive judt based on the creative freedom and new matches. That's not a knock on WWE either they just have their own way of doing things and for someone like Danielson who made a lot of money it may just be about the art now. Punk also had been dropping semi hints recently about having an interest in wrestling again. Nothing super obvious but he is more willing to acknowledge wrestling now. And again creative freedom may be all he wants now.

I’ll probably check it out again. It didn’t turn me off forever. I was tired and it was bedtime anyway, so I wasn’t in the mood.

Crowd was super into it, and it's leading into a really awesome looking Fight for the Fallen card this upcoming week.

I figured if Punk or Danielson appeared, I’d best see that.

I'd love Bryan coming aboard as well. If getting to New Japan is as important to him as it sounds, it's probably the best avenue for him. After all he's gone through and how much he's contributed, I hope he's able to fulfill all his dream matches. Punk will continue to be proven as the biggest hypocrite in wrestling if he signs on. I'll be happy for his fans who get to see him again, but I hope AEW is smart in getting what they can out of him.

While it would be cool for Punk to be in wrestling again, there isn’t really anything I care to see him do. The only thing I want Punk to do is have a promo battle with Kevin Owens but you know.
