Not going through all the pages but I am guessing this has been discussed, but it was basically confirmed plans changed at Hangman's request so he wouldn't miss the birth of his first kid.

The greatest wrestling show of all time? Wow He's entitled to that opinion. No need to be condensending. Wasn’t trying to be condescending at all, my apologies. Just thought that was a bold statement and would love to hear more about that line of thought! Sorry about that Some Baritone guy IS REDEEMED!

That's also fair. Honestly I'd have preferred Hangman challenging for the belt to Christian doing so, but circumstances sadly made that one impossible. Even still I think this one will be the greatest wrestling show of all time, and I'm about 90% sure Moxley Vs. Tanahashi will be a thing. The greatest wrestling show of all time? Wow It is possible that All Out will be more entertaining than SummerSlam.

Sorry about that Some Baritone guy IS REDEEMED!I do think that it's a little hyperbolic to call it the greatest wrestling show of all time right now, but if we end up with a card that looks something like: Big Show making his return to the ring (even if it is against QT Marshall). PAC v. Andrade Baker v. Statlander Casino Battle Royale with some good surprises Miro with a TNT Title Defense FTR v. PNP Sammy Guevara v. MJF Jon Moxley v. Hiroshi Tanahashi Daniel Bryan making his return to the ring (vs. Jericho, maybe?) Bucks v. Jurassic Express CM Punk v. Darby Allin Kenny Omega v. Christian Cage On paper, that's a pretty stacked card. If all of the matches deliver, it could be one of the better PPVs ever for my tastes. And that's without slotting in a match for the Lucha Bros, Orange Cassidy, and some others who will likely be on the card.

The greatest wrestling show of all time? Wow It is possible that All Out will be more entertaining than SummerSlam. Luckily wrestling is a subjective medium, like any art Because I'm not sure a single AEW show has been produced that wouldn't be more entertaining than the overwhelming majority of WWE, simply because of how much WWE content there is produced per week in this day and age and how long it's been since they had any interest in giving fans what they want consistently

Just thought that was a bold statement and would love to hear more about that line of thought! Sorry about that Some Baritone guy IS REDEEMED!First off no worries, it can be hard to judge tone online. Secondly, my reasoning is that looking at the card, it does have that potential no doubt. Of the matches being discussed we have a dream match between Tanahashi and Moxley on tap, and more likely than not the in ring return of one of the biggest stars of the last decade after almost 8 years on the shelf. Just on spectacle alone those are huge enough, even without factoring in the likely quality of those two matcher. Then we have Christian and Kenny who have already proven their ability to put on a barn burner, even when holding back like they were on Rampage, Britt Baker (who is one of the most over acts in wrestling) Vs. Kris Statlander who has improved immensely since her return, Andrade Vs. Pac, both of whom have a very real possibility of stealing the show no matter who they're against, and god only knows what else. The thing that most makes me confident that it has that kind of potential is the variety we'll likely see. We can reasonably expect a hardcore match of some type, A special attraction of Paul Wight Vs. QT Marshall, in addition to all of the dream matches listed above. There's going to be something for everybody on the card which is something I feel like a lot of people forget about anymore. A lot of the shows anymore feel very samey if that makes sense. It's pretty much the same style of wrestling up and down the card, while here you're going to get some of everything, which I can't wait for.

Bryan should be saved for the Arthur Ashe Stadium show on Sept. 22.

I mean, if he's missing All Out to be with his wife for the birth of their child, I'm perfectly okay with that. Definitely happy that he's a family man.
But, I still want to see the conclusion of this angle. Omega needs to lose the AEW World Championship to him. So hopefully, at Full Gear.

I feel like I'd enjoy that, but I think if they've been patient this long it's probably worth waiting for a PPV. Especially after changing the title on Dynamite last time.

So….what’s the official ruling on the wager?

On the one hand the booking was setting up Hangman to get the title at All Out. That was literally the plan.
So I don't really know about the optics of the wager thread when we were all technically right but Hangman apparently opted out due to the birth of his child.
It was out of AEW's control... it was basically out of everyone's control.
So idk if I really wanna put "was wrong" in my name... but I might put something there given the circumstances to be creative.

So….what’s the official ruling on the wager? I'd say there should be a mulligan since this was changed due to Hangman becoming a dad then booking making changes. Maybe change it to Full Gear?

I think what I decided to do - putting the (for now) qualifier on it - is a good middle ground. But if he’s not strapped up by the end of the year (gotta build in a buffer for paternity leave)? The qualifier goes away. I dunno…just a thought.

The opening post included:
“Anyone wishing to participate, just say if you do or do not think Adam Page will win the AEW World Championship on or before September 5th”
That was the wager. Cmon guys, it was a harmless bet. No need to change the rules now. It doesn’t matter how or why plans changed, but it certainly seems like they have. Looks like I was wrong too.
Of course we’re still weeks away and it could be a big swerve for Hangman to pull it off, just doesn’t seem likely as of now.
