Lewandowski should have won the Ballon d’Or.

Lewandowski should have won the Ballon d’Or. Anybody got some stats to hand? I refuse to believe Lewandowski performed worse over the course of the year than Messi.

First player to score 20 goals in 13 consecutive seasons in one of the big five leagues. Broke Muller’s record of scoring 30 goals in 12 consecutive seasons. He did personally have a strong season despite Barca having a season to forget. Still, Lewandowski should have won. If the award has been given last year, he would have won but he just carried on this season where he left off.

Scottish Cup fourth-round draw
Peterhead v East Kilbride Clydebank v Annan Athletic Banks O'Dee v Raith Rovers Motherwell v Inverness CT or Morton Kelty Hearts or Montrose v St Johnstone Livingston v Ross County Dumbarton v Dundee Aberdeen v Edinburgh City Rangers v Stirling Albion Ayr United v St Mirren (good draw, we've had them before and beat them) Kilmarnock v Dundee United Hibernian v Cove Rangers or Queen of the South Partick Thistle v Airdrieonians Auchinleck Talbot v Hearts (unbelievably it's the third time both have been drawn together, in 2012 and 2019) Alloa Athletic v Celtic Arbroath v Brechin City or Darvel

RIP Ray Kennedy. A legend for Arsenal and Liverpool. Can’t condone some of the things he did in his personal life but his suffering from Parkinson’s for over half his life wouldn’t have helped.

Hard to be a legend for one club let alone two but Ray Kennedy was that. Double winner at Arsenal & Champions League winner at Liverpool scoring very important winning goals for both.
Newcastle can’t even beat Norwich at home. It’s going to be a long season. Norwich should have won as well.

Women's football: England 20- 0 Latvia
There's loads of similarly one sided games tonight. What a waste of time. There has to be a better way to organise qualifying than putting pros against amateurs like that.

There has to be a better way to organise qualifying than putting pros against amateurs like that. I was talking to my friend about this tonight. I’m kind of conflicted because the only way these teams are going to get better is playing better opposition and you do get big scores in the mens game (England winning 10-0 last month etc.) but at the same time 20-0 is ridiculous Also I might be a minority on this but once it got past 10,11 then someone really should be having a word with the winning team and telling them just to turn it into a passing session. There was like 6 goals in the last 20 mins of something I mean it just seems an unnecessary humiliation I know you can justify it by saying it’s a competitive sport which I get to an extent but nothing about this was competitive really so I agree with your point there has to be some way of doing it better. Perhaps pre-qualifiers for the lower ranked teams so they play teams of similar levels to begin with and the better ones play a higher level in the actual qualifiers or something? I’ll say this though, pretty sure not many will be paying much attention to my teams 8-0 pasting by Spain so thankful for that at least

I’ll say this though, pretty sure not many will be paying much attention to my teams 8-0 pasting by Spain so thankful for that at least The way I see it is even if the actual game being played isn't competition for the winning side there's the fact that another team might and up finishing in a higher position in the qualifying group by virtue of a better goal difference. If England were to start taking it easy at 6-0 and don't score another goal only to miss out on qualifying by a five or six goals then not running up a cricket score when they had the chance turns out to be a terrible decision. I do think that pre-qualifiers should be a thing, though. We have it in the FA Cup, for example, where the upper divisions don't enter until the second, third, and fourth rounds.

Poor Latvia.
The "three minutes of added time" graphic was particularly hilarious though.

Liverpool become the first team in English football to score at least two in 18 consecutive games. I really hope the Everton board don’t over-react and get rid of Rafa but you just never know.

Would anybody be shocked if Mourinho didn't make it until the end of the season?
