Herb Abram's UWF Blackjack Brawl had a double count-out between Cactus Jack and Jimmy Snuka in a lumberjack match. That one was hilarious because Herb didn't want Foley to lose, and Foley didn't want to beat Snuka, so they decided to brawl to a double count out. The lumberjacks were confused and Foley told them, "It's Herb's show, we can do whatever we want!", since, yeah, UWF wasn't exactly the tightest-run ship, and I don't think any of the guys had an illusions otherwise.

How many WCW finishes would you like? No contest in a First Blood match? A countout in a Falls Count Anywhere match? How about the time they did a bullrope match where you had to touch all four corners, but Hogan still managed to win by pinfall? And then win AGAIN by touching the corners straight after? Pinfall & a ref bump in a First Blood match? Yep Then there was the time a match ended when someone who wasn't in the march pinned someone else who wasn't in the match. How about the ladder match which had a special guest ref (no, it doesn't make any sense) who then interfered & sort of dangled the belt halfway up the ladder so Scott Hall could win after someone else had pulled it down? I just wanted to thank you for the chuckle.

John Cena destroying the Nexus at Survivor Series via no selling their offense and pinning Gabriel and Barrett in a handicap situation in the span of a minute.
It was a finish so bad that Edge and Chris Jericho were pleading for John to lobby to have it changed. But he stubbornly refused. It was only when the match was over that he walked back and apologized to them, realizing that yes... it indeed was an awful decision.
The Nexus never recovered. They lived for awhile afterwards but when a finish is so bad it basically kills an entire upcoming faction dead? Yeah.

I just wanted to thank you for the chuckle. Hey, no problem! I'd laugh too, except I used to watch this bollocks.

True, plus it being a coked-out promoter who probably didn't really give a shit so long as Foley wasn't jobbing, since he saw Cactus Jack as one of his draws, so I'm sure he probably was fine with it.

Wow, 3 pages in and my "favourite" hasn't been mentioned.
Nash v Sid in a powerbomb match, as in, to win you have to powerbomb the other.
Ref gets knocked out, when he comes to, Sid's out, Nash said he'd done it, and wins.

Slightly different than the intent of what's being talked about but I can't tell how you confusing watching live Harley Race and Mr. Hughes come down the isle at Great American Bash 1991 to help Lex Luger was. No previous connection, Lex was still a babyface, Windham still a heel, and then Harley calls for the piledriver, his move, not Lex's, and it's over.
Similar, Fuji dumping the current champs Demolition for Powers of Pain and it looking like Fuji turned good the way it was executed. 🤷♂️

Very recently - Rhea Ripley is DQ'd for throwing a flimsy piece of cardboard in the direction of Charlotte which then mildly inconvenienced her.

I have the damnedest memory around this time of there being a handicap match involving Nash where you didn't have to cover your opponent for a pin, simply knocking them down sufficed to get the ref to count the fall. I cannot, for the life of me, find any evidence to substantiate this memory.

He was doing a parody of the streak where anyone he powerbombed added a number to his streak and the number would randomly jump from show to show

Bret Hart retains the WCW heavyweight title when Roddy Piper comes in to protect Goldberg from an nWo beatdown and the ref inexplicably does a 3 count for a man who isn't even in the match.

To be fair, it would be a lot less funny if Foley had done it to avoid losing. Doing it to avoid winning is more forgivable and charming given that it was out of a fannish sentiment. Throw in the context of a messy-as-hell promotion that few people watched, and it's an odd little story, not something where anyone's career was at stake.

At Judgement Day 1998, Shamrock beat Mankind by submission. He had him in the Ankle Lock while Mankind also applied the Mandible Claw to himself, eventually passing out. That by itself is relatively fine. It got incredibly stupid when Fink felt the need for absolutely no reason to do a UFC style announcement and say that Shamrock won via the Mandible Claw.

Yeah, yeah, Ryback, dropkick, of course. Speaking of Ryback though, how about that time he and Cena went to a draw in a Last Man Standing match despite the fact Ryback was standing and Cena wasn't? How don't I remember this?

They did so they could piss Ken off as he couldn't beat him with his own move and further facilitate his heel turn. It was still stupid.

There are so many WCW matches that fit the bill, especially in 1999 and 2000.
I'll also second the Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss Extreme Rules match that made Bayley look like a complete moron and pushover.
