Just a thought from watching various Looney Tunes related videos over the weeks at work.
So, who would you say is the best rival character to Bugs Bunny that appeared in more than a one off? Elmer and Sam were the most prolific of the list I have, Marvin was the smartest and most dangerous, and Baggy Eyes Taz probably out of them was the greatest physical threat. Or is there another one that I missed?
Note that I'm leaving off the true winner of this, Cecil Turtle, because that would be too easy. After all, Cecil is the only one of anyone Bugs faced more than once that Bugs never beat in the classic era. So that would have skewed the poll too much I think.

If we can count him, Daffy. Just the perfect counter to Bugs and led to some of the best back and forths in the entire Looney Tunes collection.

I wasn't sure if I should count Daffy or not in this, since if we were to do a Looney Tunes character tier list he's more in a "headliner" tier than "rival" if that makes sense. ...probably doesn't, but...*shrug*

Gotta go Elmer. What's Opera Doc puts it over the top for me.

Fudd with double barrel cannon vs Bugs with carrot is the definitive version of Bugs Bunny IMHO.

I was partial to the Gremlin. Hasn't he appeared more than once?

I was partial to the Gremlin. Hasn't he appeared more than once? In the classic era he only had one short against Bugs. Made a cameo on a completely different short but Bugs wasn't in that one.

I know the Road Runner cartoons are considered better but I kind of love the five or so Bugs Bunny and Wile E. Coyote cartons. I mean who doesn't like Wile E. Coyote: Genius

In Daffy's mind, he is Bug's #1 rival.
I will say that I always enjoyed the episodes with Bugs and Wile E.
How many episodes did Bugs do with Gossamer or Hugo the Abominable Snowman?

Always a big fan of the one with Pete Puma as well. I still to this day, whenever I hear the word “Lumps”, will in my head, do his voice, and say “A whole lotta lumps”.

Elmer Fudd: So many classic moments and once in a while old Fudd actually got one over on that "Screwy Wabbit" IE: What's Opera Doc?, Rabbit Rampage and that one short where he and Bugs switch places via hypnosis.
