I think the Toymaker's lines about 'making a jigsaw out of The Doctor's entire history' was the retcon for the timeless child.

I think the Toymaker's lines about 'making a jigsaw out of The Doctor's entire history' was the retcon for the timeless child. I felt like 14 heading off to decompress and come to terms with his history and existence was the way to put a lot of things on the shelf for as long as they want to. 14 can go ponder the meaning of that and hundreds of other things. 15 and his run doesn’t have to be weighed down by thousands of years of questions, plot holes and tragedy. Until RTD decides to use something…I feel like we are meant to see this as the freshest of starts possible for the new Doctor. And I couldn’t be happier about it. It was a really clever way to ignore things you don’t want to touch on while not just dropping them into non existence. Dealing with the lore you don’t want is now the entire story of a Doctor we just aren’t watching. it’s been two days so I’m assuming we don’t have to spoiler tag now

The Doctor clubbing gives me bad vibes. I mean it could be fine but considering this is RTD I dread nothing more than the return of the Pedoctor age 2,000 odd pulling barely legal girls and/or boys. If that happens they should bring back the Pandorica alliance to drag his ass to a consent class. I hope considering where we are now Russell realizes that the vibes are off and just like... doesn't do it. If you want to give the doctor a love interest, the man's a grandfather so go right ahead, but at least make it i dunno. Not ick. Not sure how you arrived at this point based on the limited amount of footage from the preview, but go off, I guess.

{Spoiler}NPH was utterly amazing and I'm happy that they defeated him in a way that it won't be much of a stretch to bring him back. I also can't stop watching the "Spice Up Your Life" bit. Aside from that, happy with this being a better send-off for 10/14 than the meta-crisis Doctor, and also liking the fanon that this is where The Curator eventually comes from. This also felt very much like RTD going "you want to throw around new canon like Rian Johnson flippantly discarding everything setup in The Force Awakens, I can play that game too", in a weirdly satisfying sort of way. I've also seen some hilarious hot takes and clickbaity YouTube thumbnails declaring IT'S THE END FOR DOCTOR WHO in ways that sure don't feel like thinly-veiled bigotry or anything.

Watched The Giggle tonight and really enjoyed it
These specials have all been a lot of fun but to be honest it’s probably not helped Ncuti because it’s reminded me how good Tennant was especially with Tate. Having said that, the brief time we got with Ncuti I quite enjoyed his performance so I’m very hopeful
I can already imaging the hand-wringing from various parts of the internet after the rave/dance scene from the trailer. I imagine it’s like several of their nightmares all coming together and I can’t wait to ignore all of their stupid complaints and enjoy the performance/show
That NPH Spice Up Your life was an amazing scene and gave me major Master dancing to scissor sisters season 3 vibes and I was there for it.

On the "making of" feature, NPH was baffled people thought he was such a great dancer when he barely does it, and he says Americans have never even heard of "Spice Up Your Life" when Russel says it's a globally renowned Britpop song

If you hated that Rian Johnson “threw away everything setup in TFA”…wait until you see what they did in Rise of Skywalker.

Then again, this is the same guy that defiantly defends the HIMYM finale. So, while he may be an awesome entertainer, he's clearly not perfect.

That was the most brilliantly ridiculous thing I have ever watched.

Started off good, bit shakey in the middle and came together nicely in the end. Not sure if i'm a big fan to be honest though. Probably my least favourite Christmas special but then it felt more like a proper introduction to the new characters than a holiday adventure.
Ncuti makes a very good Doctor. I swear that guy has a million dollar smile and i liked the energy he brought. Ruby was good and they have good chemistry together which is vital.
I felt like the first 4 seasons worked because they showed the Doctor can be charming and fun but also could be dangerous and serious when pushed into a situation. Saw a glimpse of that in this episode.
I think it really depends on where RTD wants to go with how he writes the Doctor going forward. Will he be more whimsical like the 11th or more tragic like the 10th?
