I'm probably in the minority believing that ROH will return. Seems like it will turn into many promotions where it is work, but don't expect to live off of your ROH paycheck. A shame I think, but might be more due to Sinclair than ROH themselves.
I see Grisham winning and being the face of the new ROH. Wonder how it will differ from his new promotion.

I remember being a tad disappointed at the time cos I didn't think it lived up to their Fight Without Honor at FB 2010 or even their ladder match at Steen Wolf but I rewatched it not that long ago and while it still isn't as good as those other two matches it is a phenomenal match that I should have appreciated more at the time.

ROH WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPION ROK-C VERSUS WILLOW SET FOR FINAL BATTLE



Two of the most popular stars in the women’s division will collide when ROH Women’s World Champion Rok-C puts her title on the line against Willow at Final Battle: End of an Era on Dec. 11 in Baltimore.

Willow earned the title shot by defeating Mandy Leon of The Allure in a No. 1 contender’s match on Ring of Honor Wrestling this past weekend. Willow and Leon had both won triple threat matches to advance to the deciding bout.

Willow, who pinned seven-time former world champion Angelina Love of The Allure in her triple threat match (which also included Miranda Alize), heads into Final Battle on a four-match winning streak.

Even though Willow is on a roll, no one has been hotter since the women’s division was rebooted in April than Rok-C. “The Prodigy” is 6-0 in singles competition in ROH, including a win over Alize in the finals of the ROH Women’s World Title Tournament in September.

Willow has the size and power advantage over the champion, but Rok-C has the edge in speed and technical wrestling ability.

Willow says she has “big hair and a bigger smile.” Will she score the biggest victory of her career at Final Battle? Or will Rok-C keep her title reign and unblemished record intact?

SHANE TAYLOR-KENNY KING MATCH AT FINAL BATTLE WILL NOW BE A FIGHT WITHOUT HONOR



Due to the intensely personal nature of the feud between former frends Shane Taylor and Kenny King, their match at Final Battle: End of an Era on Dec. 11 in Baltimore will now be a Fight Without Honor.

In this brutal type of match, anything goes and there must be a winner.

Taylor has been waiting nearly10 months to gain retribution for King hitting him over the head with a chair and causing him to lose in his ROH World Title Match against then-champion RUSH.

After the betrayal, Taylor told King that he would be safe as long as he stayed on his side of the street but there would be severe consequences if King ventured into Taylor’s neighborhood.

King did not heed Taylor’s warning, and they’ve been engaged in a violent game of one-upmanship.

Both men said they are going back to their roots for this fight.

“I told you that if I had to go back to the man that I used to be, back to the man that wasn’t a father, back to the man that wasn’t a husband, back to the man that wasn’t a leader, that’s not some place that you would want to go with me,” Taylor said. “Every enemy I’ve ever had I’ve buried.”

King said: “If you keep f---ing around with me, you’re going to turn me into the old me. The old me doesn’t wear thousand-dollar suits. The old me doesn’t wear silk shirts and all the kind of other s--t. The old me is very gutter. The old me looks and then he tears you apart.

“Before I get on that plane, I’m going to kiss my little girl on the forehead. I’m going to look her in the face, and even though she don’t know, I know [that][ her daddy ain’t coming back the same. No joke. No bulls--t. For one of us, this might be the final battle.”

DALTON CASTLE TO DEFEND WORLD TV TITLE IN FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL MATCH AT FINAL BATTLE AGAINST RHETT TITUS, SILAS YOUNG, RETURNING JOE HENDRY



The question of who Dalton Castle will defend his ROH World Television Title against at Final Battle: End of an Era on Dec. 11 in Baltimore has been answered.

It’s Castle’s former tag team partner “The Answer” Joe Hendry. And also Rhett Titus of The Foundation. And Silas Young, too. It’ll be a Four Corner Survival Match.

This will be Hendry’s first match in an ROH ring in the U.S. since February 2020. In that bout, he and Castle won a four-way tag team match.

At Final Battle, Castle and Hendry -- who now has blond hair, a bulkier physique and more aggressive attitude -- will be opponents in ROH for the first time.

One man Castle has faced on numerous occasions is Young, the self-proclaimed “Last Real Man” and a two-time former ROH World Television Champion. Castle and Young had a memorable feud several years ago, but they haven’t wrestled each other in a one-on-one match since Castle beat Young in a Fight Without Honor in 2016.

Titus, who has been with ROH since 2006, is a two-time former ROH World Tag Team Champion but he has never held singles gold in the company. “The Professional” would love nothing more than to make history at this historic event.

DRAGON LEE, REY HORUS MEET AT FINAL BATTLE IN REMATCH OF INSTANT CLASSIC TV BOUT



Back in January, Rey Horus came within an eyelash of winning the ROH World Television Title from then-champion Dragon Lee in a Match of the Year candidate.

The much-anticipated rematch between the two spectacular luchadors will take place at the Final Battle: End of an Era pay-per-view on Dec. 11 in Baltimore.

Although Lee is no longer the champion, a victory over him on a show of this magnitude would be a huge achievement for Horus, who is 0-4 in one-on-one matches against Lee in the U.S. and Mexico.

Lee also has plenty of motivation. A two-time former ROH World Television and World Tag Team Champion, Lee is looking to get back to his winning ways after losing his past two matches to Jonathan Gresham and Dalton Castle.

Prior to losing the ROH World Television Title to Castle last month, Lee had not been defeated in a one-on-one match in ROH since February 2020, against then-ROH World Champion PCO.

THE ALLURE AND MIRANDA ALIZE COLLIDE WITH CHELSEA GREEN AND THE HEX IN SIX-WOMAN TAG MATCH AT FINAL BATTLE



The Allure (Angelina Love and Mandy Leon) have made it clear that they don’t like anyone in ROH.

However, they’ve apparently found a like-minded individual in “The Lucha Baddie” Miranda Alize. Like The Allure, Alize is rude, arrogant and has a penchant for bending the rules.

The Allure and Alize have joined forces to take on Chelsea Green and NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle) in a six-woman tag match at Final Battle: End of an Era on Dec. 11 in Baltimore.

The match will be part of Final Battle Hour One, which airs free at 7 p.m. ET on multiple platforms, including HonorClub, YouTube and Facebook.

The Allure had it out for Green from the moment “The Hot Mess” arrived in ROH.

Perhaps out of jealousy over all the attention Green received when she made her surprise debut at Best in the World in July, The Allure confronted Green backstage before her in-ring debut in October and told her that ROH was their house.

Love and Leon came down to ringside to make trouble for Green during her match that night, but fortunately for Green, her friends The Hex had her back.

The bad blood between The Allure and The Hex intensified a few weeks later when Kay and Belle successfully defended their championship against Love and Leon.

Unfortunately, The Hex wasn’t in the building when Green faced Alize on last night’s episode of Women’s Division Wednesday. Thanks to The Allure’s distraction, Alize defeated Green.

Will The Allure and Alize back up their boasts? Or will Green and The Hex put them in their place?
