The writers seem to really want to do away with the whole early 90s aspect of the show. First the head writer does Genosha so that the show is more like a post 9/11 world and less like our nostalgic show. Now they're ushering in the era of black leather because heaven forbid the superheroes have colourful suits. Plus while Danger is a neat concept, it really requires Xavier to be a piece of crap, a genuine piece of crap. There was a period in the early 2000s between Danger and Deadly Genesis where it genuinely felt like character assassination. It was a race to see who could come up with the worst things for Xavier to do.
Season 1 had some great stuff even if they rushed a lot of stories, but it seems like the people in charge wanted a show that was only X-men '97 in name.

Yep thats what turned me off the show. 90s comics had a lot of problems but they were still mostly all ages fun. X-Men TAS was that. X-Men 97 just started diving into all the stuff that turns me off of modern comics.

Since Xavier's stuck in Ancient Egypt right now, Forge must be the one responsible for Danger

I will say, though, considering a) the executive producer of the show was praising him after he was fired and b) Beau hasn’t exactly been quiet since the firing, I’m curious why now was the time for Disney to respond when the right time was, well, right away.
And I don’t believe publicity because, like, the whole thing happened before the show premiered.

Apparently the agreement between Disney and DeMayo was they'll brush things under the carpet as long as he stops tweeting about the show. He didn't stop, so they removed his credit for S2. He cried discrimination, and that was their response. All that said... A good number of insiders seem to know a lot of the details that have yet to be revealed, and a tweet from one of his co-writers on The Witcher in 2022 has resurfaced accusing him of being fired for physical and emotional abusiveness. Seems like something is up with him.

I think when you hire someone like that with that reputation, it's weird to then go "Hey man, we're going to let you go, if you keep quiet about it, we won't say anything else" mostly because it then questions bringing the guy in on the first place but anyway, the entertainment business is a weird beast to put it lightly. It does make me question if stuff was going to come out regardless like the Witcher stories or if the case of the one reporter I put above if this was waiting for a powderkeg to be lit rather than for it to go off on its own.

Disney Plus disaster?
Is this cat honestly using death to further his claims, and try to make it about him as some kind of martyr? Disney should be raked over the coals and pay out for it., but don't bring that into your unaffiliated shit.

Beau is a known bellend in the industry who is a gifted writer. A lot of companies are willing to look the other way. So for Disney to say nah, he must've done something super messed up for the higher ups to terminate him.

Beau should've learned lesson number one in life: shutting up is always free Also don't put yourself in the situation where people can go "You know what, I'm siding with the billion dollar entertainment conglomerate on this matter".

So essentially, he did a Gina Carano. Did something wildly inappropriate, was told to stop, kept going and then saw the consequences for his actions.
Admittedly, this version is worse because Christ, man.
