Someone update me with the info on his past and why he's a problem because I definitely haven't been keeping up with dude. I've seen matches, I know who he is and what he's like in the ring but I know absolutely nothing about his personal/non-wrestling life. If he's a bad representation of us POC then shit, that's a bad pick. So somebody explain to me. Dude got Taeler Hendrix iced out of ROH because she wouldn't sleep with him. Taeler Hendrix is married, by the way. She’s not the only accusation either. Multiple women have talked about him harassing them to various degrees. And how ROH would cover for his ass because he was the golden goose. Wow. f*** this dude. f*** that. As a POC, he is NOT what we need representing us. f*** this dude.

To me, AEW should be excoriated for this move.
The fact that they may not be by the wider wrestling community is very telling.

Mike Bennett debuting at Monkey In The Bank vibes tbh The PPV would be a lot more credible if the winner got a pet monkey. When the f*** did Mike Bennett have a pet monkey I need proof and photos

I need the same energy people had for Will Ospreay winning the IWGP championship if Lethal wins the TNT title.

These dudes really care more about who's talented and known more than anything else it seems like.

Man online I've seen so much hype and disappointment at the same time for this signing it's something else
Wonder if anyone will ask Khan about this in a media scrum... cause like they either knew about the allegations and did their diligence on the matter before signing him... or they didn't and a lot of people are gonna bring them to light and Khan might be forced to make a decision.
I just don't see how they didn't know about these allegations and review them before signing tbh.

If that were true half the talents they've been pushing or featuring wouldn't be getting pushed or featured. Jay's definitely a case of a name talent becoming available... but I dont see how they weren't aware of the allegations before signing If not idk how that's slip past them.

Boring in-ring decision. Awful outside the ring decision.

What makes it all the more baffling is that Lethal is not a big POC name (or a big name in general) like a Keith Lee. Why take a chance of receiving a backlash for this stale-ass dude? Bad move Tony bad move...

No thank you. As a female fan of AEW, I don't want guys with these accusations in the company.

Especially the EVPs since many of them have been in the same locker rooms as Lethal and Hendrix. I won’t hold my breath on anyone asking Khan about it.

AEW needed more POC reps that can go and are established in wrestling. I assume they did their scouting with the accusations or they wouldnt have ever touched him. I'm ok with this considering I think Lethal desperately needed a new change of pace He might be the first TNT open challenger I could see getting the upset title win so far. Let's see. Or they don't care if they think he will make them $$$ no company is different when they think someone can make them $$$ they'll ignore that stuff

Like I said "nice contributor" to the roster but he's been washed for a good min as an act The hope is they hope people forgot about that mess since ROH kept pushing Lethal like nothing happened If there is major blowback, can't see how Lethal remains on the roster

I need the same energy people had for Will Ospreay winning the IWGP championship if Lethal wins the TNT title. I STILL go on about that every time Will comes up in wrestling Facebook groups, and I have been ever since Will had that go at Pollyanna on Twitter. I'm never letting the Swords of Essex be forgiven for what any of them did.

They should have hired Gresham instead. Throw money at him. He checks all the boxes and doesn’t have the checkered history Lethal does.

I just don't see how they didn't know about these allegations and review them before signing tbh. Honestly, the allegations aren’t even the biggest red flag. It was ROH deliberately setting out to hide their “investigation” or hope people didn’t notice when nothing came of it after they started it up. Because even if something did happen, and by all accounts something was there, it was a deliberate thing from the company to not say it and basically pick its side. And hey, TK, I get it. ROH is firing everyone besides a select few they just happen to have on longer deals and there’s a fire sale. But Jonathan Gresham doesn’t have this stuff on him, Shane Taylor doesn’t, Dalton Castle doesn’t, Chris Dickerson doesn’t, Tony Deppen doesn’t, I could carry on but I feel I made my point.

Feels to me like as much as AEW has done a decent job building some new stars...Tony Khan's only real method for doing so is getting those new stars involved with established stars, and he takes his time with it. I genuinely think that Khan would struggle to bring in someone like Jonathan Gresham or Shane Taylor and build him up as a genuine main eventer on a reasonable timetable - so he goes for the guy who, like Jericho, like Omega, like Danielson, like Mox, Khan can basically book him in a segment and it'll go exactly right with less effort from Khan. Lethal absolutely has that level of talent, but he is absolutely the wrong person to be bringing in.
